God Bless Jane Russell!
This book is enjoyable and written in a great conversational style as if Jane is narrating stories from chapters of her life. She emphasized how Almighty God had blessed,helped and guided her journey that led her to became a devoted and committed born-again Christian.Another good reason to purchase this book is due to world renowned portrait of Jane in the cover...

Quite religious - if that bothers you, don't bother but.....
One of my hobbies is reading biographies and autobiographies of the Hollywood stars from the 1930s to the 1950s. I find these people ultimately fascinating - how they stories differ, intertwine, and yet are the same in some respects. I'm always amazed by how many of them had either no or deceased fathers (Jane Russell included). If you are bothered by anyone speaking...

One of my hobbies is reading biographies and autobiographies of the Hollywood stars from the 1930s to the 1950s. I find these people ultimately fascinating - how they stories differ, intertwine, and yet are the same in some respects. I'm always amazed by how many of them had either no or deceased fathers (Jane Russell included). If you are bothered by anyone speaking their mind about their religious beliefs, this is not the book for you (and neither is Ginger Rogers' autobiography). Jane Russell presents her story in a straight forward, down to earth, no excuses manner. Not exactly professionally written but readable nonetheless. It doesn't deserve the lambasting a previous reviewer gave it.
