Bad quality and repetitive information.,
This review is from: Janet Jackson: Exposed (DVD)
I do not believe this information is worthy of being deemed "Exposed". If you are a true fan of Janet Jackson, you have already heard every single thing that is narrated in this video. It is basically a summary of all the rumors and obvious statements that have already been highlighted over her years of fame. Also pay attention that this is an "unauthorized" biography so, you will not hear a single note of her music throughout the film, nor will she be present to confirm or deny any of the statements. The movie, though purchased new, had very poor sound quality and digital distortion as well. I think this film could have definitely been more professional than what it is.

I have to say being a big fan of janet jackson. This was a horribly made video and a cheap way for someone to make a dollar. This video was made poorly and was an insult. If you are a janet fan you will already know all this information. Dont waste your time buying this product.

Well this documentary on Janet Jackson was OK nothing blew me away about it, no new mind bogling info about Janet that I already did not know, they are some nice neverseen footage. And the story of Janet Jacksons hidden child was new to me, but I know its just speculation. Man I am a total Janet fan that is why I bought it, I have only played it twrice in the 3 months I've had it, OK for the die hard collector fan, otherwise give it a miss.

This is an unauthorized and uncontrolled documentary of Janet Jackson's life from her beginnings to the engagement to Jermaine Dupri. It's a film that discusses non-stop her professional life as an actress at a very young age, how she got into the music industry, her producers, relationships, scandals, and sales ranks. It depicts a hard working artist and actress who was determined to be the best she can be. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were mentioned quite frequently as excellent producers who paved the way for fabulous hits and albums like Control, Rhythm Nation 1814, janet., and The Velvet Rope. Other mentioning with a new sound and image were All for You , and Damita Jo. There were no talks about 20 Y.O. except for a photo clip that was fractions of seconds towards the end. And Discipline was not mentioned at all. Michael Jackson was frequently talked about with photos of his ranch, accusations, and relationship to his sister. His success was also compared at times to Janet's. There is no Janet Jackson music, performances, or interviews. It is entirely a document spoken by one person with a very good English. The quality of the viewing is questionable since at times the words of the speaker got muffled for a few seconds [although understandable]. The picture quality is good but again there were some distortions for fractions of seconds. If you are picky this may annoy you. All in all this is a video that discusses the R&B diva's relationship with men, her music career, her image, her income and sales, as well as the Super Bowl debacle. Justin Timberlake was mentioned as having a brief relationship with her that ended amicably. The Super Bowl incident was extensively talked about so much it took a big chunk of the documentary time and I felt it removed the positivity and good achievements that could have been mentioned instead. However, many definitely would like to know what happened, and the hype around it. This is a Region 0 and is viewable in the United States. It lasts 60 minutes and has a menu with chapters to choose from. There are no recordings, performances, or interviews but just a thorough analysis inside Janet's life from her childhood to her rise to the top!
