This kit comes with a bamboo paper roller, a bottle of Vibrance Paper Bead Glaze and a bundle of precut magazine triangles for rolling into beads. The bamboo roller worked well while it lasted, but it was made of very flimsy material and the handle broke off after a few days usage. It is a two-part device made of bamboo. The parts that beads are rolled on are two long, thin pieces with a round side and a flat side. (Like if you cut a toothpick in two, lengthwise. About the same thickness, but longer.) You put the paper that you are rolling between the flat surfaces and then hold the two halves together by putting the ends into a formed bead. A cotter pin works as well.

I bought the kit mostly for the roller and the Vibrance and at first I didn't think I was interested in the magazine triangles -- I had plenty of my own on hand. But these are big, high gloss, sturdy pieces that roll up well. And there are several different designs that are alike so it's great if you're making something, like earrings, where you want the beads to match. You can also stack a couple of pieces together to make large beads.

I am still trying to decide which finish I like best for my paper beads. I had been using Judikin's Diamond Glaze, but it's expensive so I wanted to try the Vibrance. I like the application method -- you string the beads on fishing filament and dip them into the solution so you can glaze quite a few at once. I also like this method better than painting the glaze on because it gives the glaze a chance to get on the inside of the bead (in the hole) so that it's protected better. So far, it seems to be holding up as well as the Diamond Glaze with 2 - 3 coats.

I only have one gripe and that is because the bamboo roller came apart after 2 weeks of use. Did not break just came apart. I had to super-glue it back together and now I am happily rolling paper beads again.

Roller did not last very long. Poor design. Only used for a short time and could no longer roll beads. Waste of money

i was very excited when i received these products. i started making beads right away. the beadmaker is quite easy to use. the embellishments on the handle also lend a special feel to things because you have them as a guide to how your beads should look.

I got my kit, mainly for the paper, so I could have a good template. I thought the roller was going to be a better quality, but it was kinda of ragged and something I could have made myself. Overall though, the kit was OK. Good value for the money.

I wondered at the delicateness of the roller, but it is sturdier than it looks. I used all the paper they sent with the roller and started using the dip, but it was too messy for me and I started using something else. I received the merchandise when advertised and I would recommend this item to anyone interested in starting the paper bead rolling.
