Janice N. Richards born August 17,1950 in Butte, Montana learned to appreciate nature and enjoy the wilderness as her playground. She went on to teach Special Education for forty years, teaching in Montana, Idaho and Nevada.Starting with a music background she soon found that writing poetry was easier than composing and her first works developed into "Dreams of Yesterday." This was inspired after attending the International Poetry Symposium in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2008 where she was a presenter. Since then she has retired from teaching and continues to write poetry, her book of memoirs "Growing Up in the Rockies," and much more yet to come, including children's books, short stories and a book about her life as a teacher. She enjoys guest lectures and book signings Her two sons are her passion along with her two cats. Her readers have all complimented her on the emotions and feelings that go into her writing. She has a love of life and hopes to share that through her writings. She currently resides in Rupert,Idaho along the beautiful Snake River.
