Human race is not ready to see the truth in this century. If it was, today Dr. Janov should be receiving a Nobel Prize for discovering the Primal Therapy. in fact, I am writing a book on that very issue, why Dr. Janov has not won the Nobel Prize. This book, The Janov Solution, is the true and ONLY solution for achieving the world peace, but it appears that the world is not ready for peace, not yet anyhow.

In this book Janov discusses his ideas of Primal Therapy, specifically as they relate to Depression. In his view, Depression is often the consequences of a "parasympathetic imprint" which results from birth trauma, and which can be cured through re-living.

There's not much new material in this book; it mostly re-hashes the same arguments that Janov has been making for at least 20 years. Nevertheless, this book is a good, concise summary of Janov's ideas as they relate to depression.

Dr Janov is so far ahead of his time.

He provides insights into human behavior - as well as models of human biology - which other practitioners have barely begun to probe.


Be prepared for a new paradigm.

This book not only misrepresents the actual results primal therapy has had(which are either poor or placebo), but it also presents a theory that is not in keeping with the evidence in the field of psychology.
Janov is not a reliable or an accurate source both in reporting the effects of his therapy or on interpreting psychological science properly.
This is an iatrogenic therapy that involves brainwashing of both self deceived patients and therapists.
In the book there is a constant message of "don't think, feel" which is a message that has been used in several cults since the 1970s.
