Yokoyama Katsuya is ichi-ban! (number one),

After reading the book Blowing Zen, by Ray Brooks I was desparate to hear a shakuhachi flute being played. Katsuya is considered a true master,so I ordered this disk. The sound of the shakuhachi flue is unique and hypnotic. It will truly transport you to another part of the world and another state of mind.

This album is quite wonderfully evocative of a meditative state of mind. I am especially impressed by the duets between Katsuya Yokoyama and Yoshikazu Iwamoto. I heartily recommend these artful renderings of the classical shakuhachi repertoire.

BEAUTY OF THE HIGHEST ORDER,

This is the only cd of shakucachi music I own, and would not mind if it stayed that way! Every moment of this CD is filled with such deep spirituality. The first track almost paralysed me when I first put it on. Love it.
