This review is from: Cuisines of the World: Japan (Hardcover)
I didn't like this book very much. It has a couple of interesting recipes but that is about it. I would have given two stars based on just on my own taste but, in fairness, I thought it deserved three stars as it is probably a decent enough book for beginners and those without many other books on Japanese cuisine. There is a fairly well written 25 page introduction to Japanese food and culture at the beginning of the book and it is fairly nicely illustrated with color photographs. The range of recipes is not bad and most of the recipes are fairly easy to follow.
