Give it time, it does grow on you,
By A Customer
This review is from: Japan for Sale (Audio CD)
Well, I'm a sucker for J-pop, and I had to admit that when I had seen the cd for Japan For Sale, I wasn't too sure how it was going to turn out. When I first gave it a listen, I hated it, actually abhored it because it just sounded wrong! But after giving my chance at a couple of the songs, the cd grew on me until, right now, I can't take it out of my cd player! There are still some songs that do get hard to listen to, but those aren't the ones you buy the album for. Now for the noteworthy ones:Fogbound by the Boom Boom Satellites The International Chappie Cheerleading Team White Surf Style 5 Polysics There are a bunch of other great songs, but these are particularly great ones. check this cd out

Japanese music,

This review is from: Japan for Sale (Audio CD)
This album gives you a wide variey of tracks from a variety of Japanese artists. There's techno, hip-hop, pop, and a lot of J-Rock. Tracks like "Orange Juice" and "White Surf" are nice rock tunes. "Heart" is an example of fine Japanese electro-pop and "Wax On" has a cool techno beat and sounds acid-like. The poignant chorus of "Tragicomic" and the dancehall bizzareness of "Never Gonna Change" add to the eclectic experience of this album. The darkest this album reaches is on "Fogbound" where the Boom Boom Sattelites try their hand at a Nine Inch Nails-esque dark atmospheric rock deal. The only songs that I actually didn't like would be "Call My Name" and "Asia No Junshin" (PUFFY'S DONE BETTER!) A nice album. Pick it up if you want to hear what you haven't.
