A TRUE TASTE OF OKINAWA, June 20, 1999

I just returned from Okinawa having spent a year tour there in the military. From my experiences I have gained an appreciation for the Okinawan culture and lifestyle. Okinawa is not to be confused with Japan. They do share some similar customs and history, but they are definitive separate countries with their own distinct culture, foods, music, customs, and history. I reccommend this CD to all people who wish to gain an appreciation for Okinawan's music. The music contained on this CD is a true representation. A wealthy Okinawan businessman who I had the fortune of being invited to dine at his restaurant played songs similar to the ones on this CD. Okinawa is a beautiful country of which I will always hold a deep respect and love for.
