My daughter asked for a "breathing kitty" for Christmas because there's one in her kindergarten classroom. She was happy with this one and it "sleeps" next to her in her bed at night. It's not cuddly (kind of hard actually), but the purring noise is rhythmic and has helped her fall asleep a few times. I was a little concerned at first because the purring sounds a little weird (like a motor that's about to die) but it does kind of sound like a snoring cat. It comes in a cardboard pet carrier and has a little bed inside. I'm satisfied.
