A little too short and misses some information on the game but it's awesome for starters, to learn a new game, and it's easy to understand

This is an easily portable book, and well-laid out with introductory moves of the pieces. You will find more complex information on master level games, as well. Check around, though. Other volumes are more highly recommended, and I like having it in my games library.

Good for Beginners,

Would give it 5 stars for a beginners book as it gives all the basic moves. But I was looking for something more advanced and found some of the suggested moves do not live up to todays standard as the best possible move. This was a 2nd printing and still had a few typos.
