5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most beautiful and poetic Movie Soundtrack ever, March 15, 2006

This review is from: Japanese Story (Audio CD)
When I first looked for this CD, Amazon.com did not have it. So, as I knew the movie was from Australia, there I went surfing the Internet to find a place in Australia that offered this item.

I did not know then that this was an award winning soundtrack. Funny enough, no one amongst my friends ever heard of this movie.

My favorite track is #12 "I'd like to be involved" (Chinsagu No Hana). It lasts almost 15 minutes and I still want to hear more.

I love folkloric music and this one is really profound: I can almost feel the breeze from Mount Fuji, the morning dew dropping from the leaves, the smell of the morning meal being prepared... Oh Gosh!

I highly recommend this CD. Particularly to those who watched the movie, it is a must.
