This mochi is just ok. Price is very high. It can be found in any Asian market for about $1.50.

I was very sad to get a very spoiled product. There seemed to be no way to get credit on Amazon as every drop down menu keep telling me it could not be returned. So I didn't. Anyway there was no way to even taste it it was so spoiled. A complete loss.

I did not believe the other reviews, but I do now. This brand, Daifuku Mochi is from Japan, but it is not formulated for long storage or shipment in warm climates. The outer mochi is dried, hard and broken. The inner red bean filling leaks out and spoils (smells like rotten fruit). Best avoid this brand completely.

I am not sure if these were supposed to be so chewy- Mochi are usually kind of soft and squishy, these were rubbery. That may have been the fault of the seller, and not the product itself. But the sickly sweetness was too much. Mochi are sweet but this was chokingly sweet. Like run-to-the-sink-and-drink-water sweet. And I like red bean paste usually.
They went straight to the trash.

Awesome flavor...great texture...exactly what I remember from Korea, when we lived there...Ya gotta these, truly awesome. I used to go to the Korean store to purchase these, but the store is a good distance from me...now I just order them here.

Love these mochi red bean cakes! Some other reviews were complaining about the taste, but I thought these were just right. I've been snacking on mochi for over 15 years.

I love daifuku mochi! I think I prefer this type to the flavored one..it seems more natural and traditional to me. It's just plain, dusted mochi with sweet anko (red bean paste) inside.

They are well packaged and always taste good/fresh. (It takes a while for mochi to expire anyway) If you are new to Japanese food or desserts, give this a try first, it's delicious, especially with some tea! ^_^ Oishii ne! おいしいね! They also say it will bring you good luck....well, it certainly hasn't done that for me yet.
