A man meets two women at a party and walks away with one whom he marries (the one he passes up is prettier??!). Wedding bliss is short lived as he finds out his wife is a nymphomaniac, He soon spends nights away from home to escape her and just to get some rest. Being lonely, his wife spreads her love first to her husbands' grandfather who experiences his first sexual experience in years and regins his ablility to walk, then to her father-in-law who his first experience since his wife died, and finally awakens her prudish, repressed sister in law to the pleasures of sex. It's screwball comedy, erotica, some black humor and some bad taste all rolled into one, but it works and it is great. Not for all tastes though.

The director filmed two movies at the same time and in "the Japanese Wife Part 2" the man ends up with the other girl who was at the party and who has a different but equally strange personality and family. I hope it's released very soon.

If you're reading this review, the I'm guessing you've already read the product deescription. So with that in mind, here is my take on this film. First, the lead actress is smokin' hot. Can you spell MILF? She is the type of wife (good housekeeper, a lady in public and a uninhibted slut in private) that most men would create if they could. Her enthusiasem for sex is something that lead her to wear out her husbund (he can't get it up any more because the wife has basicly riden him to death), rape and reinvigorate grandpa (before he was a feeble old man in a wheelcahir, after sex with the lead actress he can walk and act like a young man), and thaw-out the frigid sister (she hated men/sex to start, afterwards she has sex with just about any one).

Each sex scene in this movie gets more and more outrageous and more and more funny. If the pelvic shots weren't blurred-out then this probably would be considered a hard-core movie. Although, when you watch the extras/interviews on this disc you find out that one of the reasons the pelvic shots are blurred out is because the actors wore prosthetics, and the sex is simulated. But, if the extras didn't tell you that, you'd never notice the difference. The most outragous scene in the movie is the last scene when an oblivious husbaund walks-in on his wife having and orgy with his entire family, and the husbunds is forced to partisipate

I'm not sure who is more responsible (amazon or pink eiga) for not stating that all the scenes contain blurred out portions (sex organs and sex acts).This product is never represented as a cut or altered item for immature audiences. Very disappointed.

The Japanese seem to have a knack at making some superb films. For me, recent examples have been 'Shall We Dance' and 'Ping Pong' (both reviewed more recently); the latter capturing the very essence of two perspectives on life. As for the current movie; the protagonist marries an effervescent woman. She eventually exhausts him with her voracious sexual appetite, in the context of her love for him. In an effort to 'please' (broadly defined), she moves on to other members of the family. It sounds sordid but it is, in fact, very funny indeed. There are even therapeutic overtones, let alone results, from her escapades. This film captures pornography and fun; a rare combination in this genre.

It's just super stupid super and funny. The director is awesome. He always focuses on how he can entertain his audiences behind the camera.
Sakura, the japanese wife, is the cutest Super Heroine suddenly appeared to the world of the erotic cinema!!

You probably won't be happy with such a movie without at least some interest in the Japanese culture. It's very sexy, dramatic and even tragic and, last not least, hilariously funny. OK they blurred some of the body parts but this doesn't really matter a lot. Although it's definitely low-budget as most of those films are, this movie does deliver value.

I really enjoyed this film! It's a funny take on Japanese society. It doesn't take itself too seriously, the story moves along and there are some scenes that are simply classic. For a low-budget movie I think this is a great effort.

Great pink eiga film. Well executed and well written humor if you understand asian humor. Definitely not a porn if that's what you are looking for. Enjoy something tastefully adult.

If you're in the mood for insane sex explosions watch this movie!

This movie has the incredibly amazing premise of choice, who do you choose? The straight laced girl or the wild one? Well businessman Takashi goes the wild road when he chooses Sakura, a crazed nymphomaniac with a never ending appetite that leaves Takashi sexually impotent and his family in a hilarious orgy fest.

Granted sex is important in this movie, it's the main feature of the genre, but I like to think that there is a deeper message behind it all. Sakura constantly mentions how Japanese people are "so behind on the times" and how they are "nothing like the forward thinking Americans" do I smell satire? Watch and find out!
