Great look, and very sturdy
I use this pattern for everyday family meals, and they are very sturdy, and nice to look at. They are fine in the dishwasher, no problems, very chip-proof. Elegant, but casual enough for everyday use.

Fancy dishes
From the pictures in the ad, I expected this to be a nice set of painted rice bowls. Well, the bowls are nice, but the design work is three-dimensional and very ornate - much more so than it looks in the ad. I purchased these to be an "every day" sort of rice bowl, but they are much too fancy for that. These bowls are the normal size you see in the stores, but are just...

From the pictures in the ad, I expected this to be a nice set of painted rice bowls. Well, the bowls are nice, but the design work is three-dimensional and very ornate - much more so than it looks in the ad. I purchased these to be an "every day" sort of rice bowl, but they are much too fancy for that. These bowls are the normal size you see in the stores, but are just too gaudy for my taste. However, they are a good buy for the price, and I don't mind using them when company comes over. Let's face it - we all want to put out our "Sunday best" for visitors.
