Works with some practice and patience,
By -Pros- - Heats well with a brand new battery for about a week. - curls lashes with some practice, but if the battery is too new, it can curl too well (makes your lashes look shorter) - Very small, smaller than my mascara tube. -Cons- - Throw away the battery it comes with, it's no good. Get a good brand name to get the best results. - Be careful when you change the battery that you don't bend any metal inside the tube (or it will never work again) - In order to get the best results, you need to apply your mascara FIRST, then use the curler. This gets the curler covered with mascara and eventually you have to figure out a way to clean it, or throw it away. - You have to let the curler "warm up" for at least 30-40 seconds before you use it...enough time to put on some mascara. Overall, if there were no other options on the market I would buy it again because it does work. This time, I think I'll try something else.

Helped with unruly lashes.,

This review is from: Japonesque Heated Mini Eyelash Curler - Black, 1.4 Box (Misc.)
I recently started using a lash-lengthening product, and it resulted in some of the lashes in the outer corner of one eye completely curling inward and touching my eyelid. So, I have 7-10 eyelashes that are curled in in just one spot, and it had been driving me crazy.
I searched the internet to find a product to straighten eyelashes... to many it sounds like the opposite of what you'd want, but apparently a lot of women have this problem! Anyway, someone mentioned a heated eyelash curler wand, so I immediately ran to my local Ulta and picked up this Japonesque product. It's really great - very small (size of a mascara tube) and it heats up in about 15 seconds - but it does take some maneuvering to get the job done. For example, you have to hold your finger under your lashes as you use the wand on top in order to curl the lashes how you want. I work slowly so I make sure I'm heating all parts of the lash. If you want the curl to stay, you have to hold your lashes for a few seconds for it to "set." I THEN put on mascara (if you wait too long, I've found the lashes may go back to their original state). The directions say to use the curler AFTER you've applied mascara, but I haven't done that for fear it would melt some of the mascara and/or get mascara inside of the eyelash curler and gunk up the inside. So, this definitely takes a little skill and a little more time than your typical non-heated "squeeze and go" eyelash curler, but if you're looking for a way to gain better control of some unruly lashes, I highly recommend this product.
