Since this was the only version of this product I could find on internet at time of purchase, it was satisfactory, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. (The shu eumura version is much better, but no longer available.) This one requires that you fill a flimsy unattached, plastic insert that falls out every time you open the compact, and has a miniscule lip brush that falls out just as often. However, the mirror is nice and big, covering the whole top cover.

This is a lousy product. Earlier, I posted a review explaining that the shortcomings of this product were necessary for the small size. I take it back. Do not order this particular palette. It isn't worth it to send it back. We really should have a zero star option or a negative option.

It is far better quality, contains a cup for melting lipstick, has larger wells and a wonderful size brush, small but not too small. The palette itself is also more attractive and a nicer size, not too big, not too little. In fact, I can carry 8 different lipstick colors in less space than one tube of lipstick. I can also blend shades without a whole lot of fuss. I don't know why every woman doesn't have one of these.

I can't imagine why Japonesque would manufacture the version on this page. The other model is far superior in every way.

This is a tiny little lipstick palette, perfect for in your purse. It's easy to fill using a sharp knife, teaspoon and tealight candle.
I just cut my favourite lipsticks at the bottom, then cut them in half again. I then hold the lipstick tube over the candle flame for a couple of seconds and reattach the top. I put the bottom part in the teaspoon and slowly, gently melt over the candle, pour into the palette and voila! I have 6 lipsticks in my purse at all times without clutter! The brush is too small to be of use, but just use your own lipstick brush and the handy mirror in the lid of the compact palette. Awesome product!

I LOVE my lipstick palette by Japonesque. It it sturdy and it does just what I need it to do...hold the lipstick from my tubes when it gets too low to put on directly from the tube, and once I put the last bits of my favorite lipstick in the palette kit, I am saved from having to buy a new tube of lipstick right away...it saves me money!!!
