Are these BPA free? May 13, 2014

Cardboard box with cardboard dividers shrink rapped with plastic is main packaging. This was shipped in a larger box packed with plastic air pillows. I bought 3 cases none were damaged on arrival.

are they microwavable? Jan 12, 2015
Yes the jars themselves are but the lids are not. The lids are metal and I would not advise putting them in the microwave. The jars are glass which can withstand the pressure and temperature required for canning so the microwave is fine.

As far as I can see, the Jarden 52505 only comes in a case of 12 jars. However, the Jarden 68100 Wide-Mouth Jars With 2-Piece Closures, come in a 6 Pk. They are 1/2 gallon jars.
