I think these are very pretty jars but I have used them to make preserves and they will not fit in the canning rack. Won't stay on the rack and the rack and boiling water canner are Ball products. They are not stable on the rack which can make it frustrating. pretty though. Not sure if I would purchse these again.

Given that these process-up just as well as the old-fashioned looking Ball and Kerr varieties of jars, that they appear both contemporary and classic should make purchasing them a no-brainer. I had not a single jar fail to seal and appreciated their classicly appealing shape with an attractive and modern silver-coloured lid and band. I'm definitely buying more for making jams of spring's berries.

I am very pleased with these jars! I love their size and they stack easily! My jars have a pretty floral-type design on the lid which adds a very nice touch, as I use them as a container for my homemade hair and body butters! The price is very nice as well! I will definitely be purchasing more!

I am new to canning and really like the more contempory, very simple design and look of these. They look like regular screw-cap lids. Can someone explain to me if they work the same as the two piece styles I think of my grandmother as using? One reviewer said that her lids sealed properly, so I'm assuming they do, but I haven't seen these yet and want to make sure! Thanks!

I purchased these jars as "favor" jars for a candy table at a baby shower. They were absolutely perfect! The nostalgic jar worked beautifully with the nostalgic candies and was large enough for a sampling, but small enough as to keep single individuals from loading up too much! Shipping was great, they were packaged well and unharmed upon arrival.

I bought these so that we could make our own jam. I originally bought 2 packages (8 jars) and ended up going back to buy 2 more! They were so easy to use! All of the jar sealed. They look fabulous!! The catch?: they are cheaper at the grocery store - I bought mine at Shaw's for 3.79 (and I think Shaw's can be $$) AND once you're scooping your jam out the shape isn't the same as taller jars so you've got a few extra "nooks & crannies" to make sure you scoop out. But...I love them because they are the nicest looking jars I've found - easy to use & seal AND make great gifts!

The product itself would be five stars if not for the price.

These are good-looking, small canning jars. The platinum lids are a nice touch and they look far better than most generic lids if you're making gifts. The size of each jar is on the small side and a bit impractical for something like jelly that would at some point find itself in a refrigerator, though.

Check your local grocery store or anywhere locally in the summer before buying these online. In my case, the price locally was less than half of what I paid here.

Not much to say other then I really adore these jars. I use them for storing my freezer jam (which doesn't require any type of heating or proper sealing) so I can't say how these would hold up to the minimum requirements needed for actual canning.

As another reviewer mentioned, they're a bit pricey through this seller - however - while the Bell website does sell these for $4.99, with shipping and handling you wind up paying at least $11.94 (not including applicable taxes). It's a slightly better deal if you qualify for free shipping through Amazon, but not by much. If you want the best deal, I'd check your local grocer first. I bought mine for a little under $6 total.

I have bought already 48 of these. I like the styling very much as they would make great gifts. There is only two negatives that I can find. They don't stack well at all. I would like to see a flat surface on at least on one side to put a label. Love the styling over the traditional jars. I will be looking for these again next year. Hope "Ball" can redesign them before then. I also bought the disolvable labels The only drawback is that you have to hand write the labels. Would love to see a computer printable version.

Great jars to store home made jams and jellies - and once you put a ribbon around top - they make great gifts. Love the quality of the jar/fit of lid and just overall look.
