Product Description

Dog Travel Water Bowls in Collapsible, No Spill, Portable Designs. Pet Water Bowls for Car Trips.

Any time a pet owner travels with their dog on a trip for over an hour they should carry extra water. A dog will get excited or nervous when on a car trip, or hot when playing at the park, and making sure they are suitably hydrated is an important safety and health issue. Dogs need a lot of drinking water at hand because just like people they need a lot of fluids. Heat stroke is common in dogs, particularly if they are outdoors in the sun, riding in a hot car or getting a lot of exercise at the park. Portable dog water bowls make it easy for a pet owner to provide water for their animals.

These bowls can be designed in collapsible models for easy storage, water proof cloth designs which fold to compact items so they are small and don't take up as much space as a large water bowl would. There are also spill proof and slip resistant designs for when you need to give your dog a drink wile on the road. These can help stop liquid spills in the back of a car or SUV cargo area. Keep your dog healthy and safe by bringing along a drink for your pet when you travel. Dog travel water bowls make this easy for you.

What our customer say?

  • This collapsible bowl can be used for all pets, both large and small, dogs and cats. Perfect for food or water in a travel situation. I carry water with me and my dogs and when they need a drink, I can put some water down for them in seconds
  • This works great. You can zip it up when you're not using and it holds water well
  • Works great during walks on hot days with our greyhounds. Collapse the sides, fold in half, and zip closed. The resulting half-moon shaped, soft fabric package can fit into a roomy pants pocket. Appears to be well-made. No leaks
  • This item is very handy, we just been to the coast for a weekend and it came in very usefull to carry around without bulkiness, dog loved it
  • I have 3 dogs and whenever I go out for long hikes this is what I take with me. It clips right on to pretty much anything (I keep it on my backpack), and it is very sturdy and holds a good amount of water. Enough for two decent sized dogs to drink peacefully. Then you just dump the water out, shake it off a bit, zip it up, and go!
  • Small, zips into itself. Lightweight. Easy to carry. Money well spent and my family's dog is happy when she doesn't have to wait until we get back to the car for a drink of water!
  • This bowl is nicely built and feels sturdy. It looks nice and holds a lot of water. The clip on the end is very convenient, I tried clipping it to my jeans when I took my dog bike riding. An absolute necessity!

I own three dogs that we take on tons of road trips and have vaguely wanted to secure them but never did much about it. After a safety course a few years ago where local police demonstrated how a 30 lb baby or pet easily is ripped from your arms and ends up on roadways after going through windshields in accidents, we looked into car safety straps.

We have had the more common harness-types that loop onto seat-belts (we use our own harnesses, however) and while they work beautifully, they are about $20 each and are a little time consuming when it comes to switching them between our cars.

On a whim, I bought one of these to see if it would lock securely into my car. It did, and is such a less bulky option that easily moves from seat to seat (no need for the belts to be buckled!), we immediately ordered enough for all three dogs in both cars. For the price, I really expected it to fall apart the minute I opened it, but it's been fantastic thus far!

Note that there are apparently two different types of buckles (the end that you insert into the seat belt) that are used. The "good" one uses a thick metal, and has a long slot opening. It feels very secure when buckled. The "bad" one uses a much thinner metal (you can almost bend it), has a shorter slot opening, and feels very loose when buckled.

The "Customer Image" posted by Jason Ayala (showing the closeup of the buckle) is the "good" one. It also has a smooth oval shape to the metal. The "bad" one has a more squared-off shape to it. Before purchasing, look at the close-up of the buckle and verify that it is the "good" one.

We tried to return the one we purchased (from Magnoliar), but the vendor required that it be mailed back to China! Needless to say, we ate our loss. We ended up ordering the one sold by Etekcity (and fulfilled by Amazon, so returns would be easy): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FR8249U

Love it! Was worried about my little pug getting hurt if I had to make a sudden stop in the car. I feel she is much safer now and the shipping was very fast.

This product works great especially for the low price. I have a (very energetic) laborador retrieve (about 85 pounds) I attach it to my dog's full harness and then clip the end into the seat belt. It works great with my Ford Escape's seat belt system. The lead is adjustable - the smallest size keeps him securely in the backseat. I would recommend this product.

I was surprise of how cheap the sell price was and since its not going to cost that much, I might as will give it a try.

Pros:
1) Strong enough to hold two of poms
2) Fast shipping
3) The buckle fits my Toyota Prius perfectly
4) Easy to release
5) The length is long enough and adjustable

Cons:
1) The material might not to be durable for those strong chewers

I am satisfy with this product! :)

My first shock after ordering this was getting a confirmation e-mail saying I could expect delivery (from China) in about six weeks.

It came in about two weeks.

The latch fits perfectly in the receptacle in the center of the rear seat. My dog can now put his paws up on the back side of the console and see where we're going, but he can't jump up into my lap.

More importantly, however, is that with wearing a cross-body harness and his own seat belt, if I have to stop fast, the worst that's going to happen to him is that he'll lose his footing on the back seat and be suspended over the edge of the seat by his harness. (Not hung by his collar.)

Edited to add: If you have seat belts where you press down on the top of the buckle (rather than on the side) it's quite easy for your dog to unbuckle himself as s/he moves around. I've solved that problem because my car (fortunately) has a little pocket in the seat where you can stow the buckle when not in use, so I've just fastened the belt to the buckle and then put the buckle in the pocket. Now my dog doesn't step on the buckle and release himself.

I don't consider this any sort of "manufacturing defect" as the tab of the belt fits perfectly into the buckle. However, if you have top-release belts like mine, don't be surprised if your dog manages to step on the buckle, release it, and jumps up into your lap.

I use this for my smaller dog (15 lbs) and it works fine. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS USE A HARNESS WHEN YOU USE A SEAT BELT WITH YOUR DOG, NEVER EVER ATTACH IT DIRECTLY TO YOUR DOG'S COLLAR!!!

The metal seat belt buckle and the metal dog collar buckle are both fine, and the nylon belt is fine, but the cheap plastic sliding buckle that you use to adjust the length is the weak link. Less than a week after we started using this seat belt, our dog pulled on it a little too hard, and the plastic buckle broke. We used safety pins to reattach the belt, but now we can't adjust the length.
