5.0 out of 5 stars Jarrett's Jade, February 8, 2009
This is the story of James Jarrett who arrived in Savannah in 1736, clad in kilt and tartan, the first of the Georgia Jarretts, tall, broad-shouldered and lean as a broadax, with a face less villainous than exciting.

He was a Highland Aristrocrat, Laird of Clan Jarrett. Part devil, part angel, he came to Georgia to take the wife who would help him found a New World Clan Jarrett, a great Southern dynasty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rip-roaring historical fiction, March 17, 2010
This review is from: Jarrett's Jade (Hardcover)
Set in Savannah, Georgia of 1736, this is a Colonial adventure. Arriving into this land is a Highland aristocrat named James Jarret from Scotland, proudly wearing his kilts and tartans. Jarret is determined to build a Southern dynasty, starting with an American wife, and he will use all his skill and bravery to find her and take her. A story that pits families against each other in war, even son against father as the story rolls into 1776.

I was hopeing for an honest description of the book,so as to make a purchase with confidence, and i was always willing to pay for that honesty. I was very happy ,and indeed, surprized to recieve what i had hoped for. A very old book, yes ,but in very good condition.

I will certainly do this again.
