Jarrow FORMULAS Iso-Rich Soy contains water-extracted; Non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) soy protein isolate. Consistent isoflavone level. Each serving guarantees a minimum of 56 mg of naturally occurring isoflavones; consisting of genistin/genistein; daidzin/daidzein and glycitin/glycitein. The isoflavone level in Iso-Rich Soy reflects the daily dietary intake of isoflavones in Asian countries such as Japan. Water extraction of soy protein preserves naturally occurring isoflavones; saponins and IP6 (Inositol Hexaphosphate). IP6 also supports cardiovascular health by binding free iron.* Saponins; another naturally occurring group of phytonutrients in soy; have been shown in scientific studies to enhance the body's defense mechanisms.* Soy Protein and Heart Disease: Consumption of 25 grams of soy protein a day; as a part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol; may reduce the risk of heart disease. Iso-Rich Soy is a complete source of essential amino acids and meets or exceeds the daily "Amino Acid Requirement Patterns" for adults measured by PDCAAS* (recommended by the Food and Nutrition Board; 1989). Soy isoflavones; along with other naturally occurring soy phytonutrients; have been shown in scientific studies to have many health benefits; including maintaining healthy cells; promoting normal cardiovascular function; supporting bone health and assisting estrogen balance.* Keep out of the reach of children.

It does taste somewhat chalky, but I don't mind this.

UPDATE:I discontinued the product after I read the manufacturer would not sign the pledge to guarantee that harmful materials would be tested for and prohibited.

I started off mixing it with sweetened soy milk and water, but now I use unsweetened or just water, it tastes good enough if I just drink it down.

I first used this protein powder when I did the Atkins Diet. Later (and since) I used it to alleviate menopause symptoms. I've recommended it to so many other women because of it's effectiveness at wiping out hot flashes! I know a lot of women are big babies about not liking the taste of protein powders, diet shakes, etc. I myself hate anything chalky. And I've tried a LOT of different supplement and protein shakes, powdered, canned, whatever. I hate them all, but Iso-Rich is, in my opinion, without the gag factor. It can be made to taste relatively good. Add sweetener or vanilla coffee creamer, whatever you like. When battling the hot flashes, drink one shake daily, and after 2 or 3 months, you can cut back to 3 times a week. For those who are wary about taking estrogen, this soy protein along with high doses of folic acid daily can replace synthetic hormones without the side effects. You can find out more about folic acid in this capacity in Dr. Atkins' Age-Defying Diet book. Also, this is a great supplement if you're on a low carb program.

After three surgeries and having to cope with the healing of a major wound I was advised by my doctor and nurse to eat a lot of protein as a supplement to meals. That is why I found this product. Compared to protein powder products in stores, this product was better in terms of taste and mixability with various liquids, and far less costly. I strongly recommend it to all those seeking a low calorie way to add protein to your diet.

I bought this product along with the ON gold standard whey protein powder because I wanted to increase my daily protein intake. I am pleasantly surprised by this product. It mixes very easily with just a spoon and it has 25 grams of protein in two tablespoons. I love that this does not have any artificial sweeteners added to it and it's all natural. I find that the taste is great and I enjoy drinking it mixed with water. I think some people may not like the taste because it's not sweet like a lot of other protein powders...it just tastes like soy beans! It tastes so healthy. I have already ordered another jar and I will continue to repurchase!

This is a great product that we use with fruit smoothie for breakfast, like fresh orange and pineapple juice with frozen bananas and flax seed oil. It makes a complete meal with protein, essential fatty acid and fresh juiced fruit.

This is my favorite protein powder ever, and I've tried quite a few of them. Most of them were barely tolerable even when loaded up with flavoring, salt, and sweeteners. Some were a lot more expensive, too.

This doesn't taste exactly good by itself, but not bad either. Kind of like plain tofu. I started off mixing it with sweetened soy milk and water, but now I use unsweetened or just water, it tastes good enough if I just drink it down.

I have been using Jarrow Iso-rich Soy protein everyday for almost a month, and am very pleased with it. I add it to a fruit and soy milk smoothie in the morning for an easy protein boost to my diet. Getting additional protein, especially in the morning, recommended for people who have ADHD. I also have a terrible time in the morning feeling hungry again and battling low/fluctuating blood sugar by the time I get to work an less than 2 hours after breakfast, and having the extra protein first thing has eliminated that issue. The downside is it's well....*morning*...and that last thing I want to do is conjure out anything more elaborate than a bowl of cereal. Tossing a tablespoon of powder into a blender is just my speed. I like that this bottle is a generous 32 ounces, and will last me a month at 1 serving/day. When mixed well, it's not gritty or chalky, and it doesn't change the taste my the beverages (smoothies, chocolate soy milk, lactose-free deliciously thick New England frappes).

Fair warning - when I first started using this, my body was not used to that amount of soy or protein and it responded by manufacturing copious amounts of noxious gas. I tossed a pro-biotic into my smoothie mix, and problem solved. My digestive system has since adjusted. If you find yourself in the same boat, I recommended adding a pro-biotic at the same time and/or trying Beano or reducing the amount you use and then slowly as you system adjusted to the added soy/protein.

I have tried various soy protein powders found in various supermarkets, and have ended up discarding every one of them due to the taste of nasty overpowering even a thick fruit-filled smoothie. I was looking specifically for a product with a good amount of protein but not too much, and without any added sweeteners.

This soy protein is very good you need only 2 tablespoons per serving and get a whopping 25 g of protein. It is not flavored so you can use it in a variety of different dishes. If you use it in a protein shake you can add Stevia or honey or your own sweetener and add your own fruit and it is really delicious. I find it to blend very smoothly. I always make my protein shakes in a blender so they come out creamier. I would definitely recommend this protein powder.

This powder blends with fruit and other protien powders (with milk or water) that does not interfere with the taste of your other ingredients. I like adding it to a whey protein shake to have different types of protein in the drink.
