I've always taken a good balance of supplements, but hadn't yet found a Coq10 that I liked. This is the first one I've found in a softgel from a company I trust.

I've taken supplements for many years and I try to be very observant regarding the effects, if any, of any new products that I introduce to my routine. After taking this for about a month, I have started to notice that I have been feeling a little more energetic and my recovery time after exercise seems a little faster. I don't know for sure that this is a result of this product, but it's the only new thing I've introduced recently aside from Jarrow Activated Silicon, which should have no effect on my energy.

This is definitely a product that I will continue to take.

I guess this really works as I haven't died of heart disease yet. I'll be sure to update this review should my condition change.

COQ10 is one of the most important supplements you can take. It contains one of the most powerful antioxidants and is often seen as a "youth" drug since it keeps the body from aging. The body's production of COQ10 however decreases with age. It is vital for heart health, and thus should be taken in higher doses by anyone with heart issues.

If you are on statin drugs, you must take COQ10 since statins block your body's ability to produce COQ10 naturally. Statin drugs actually contribute to heart disease by blocking the enzyme that produces COQ10.

Positives to this product are it is an "enhanced absorption" formula which you want to look for when buying COQ10. You also want to buy soft gels and not capsules, so this product fits that criteria. The main negative with this brand of COQ10, and why I won't buy it again, is that it contains soy lecithin as "other" ingredients. Since the product is not USDA organic, this soy most likely comes from GMO soy and is contaminated with roundup in addition to the unknown dangers of ingesting gmo foods. Soy also mimics estrogen and can cause hormone imbalance in the body. Of course the dose of soy in this soft gel is very, very small, but I still choose to avoid GMO products when possible. The brand I usually buy uses olive oil instead.

We need coq10, or so I hear. It's good for the heart for all of us and for statin takers I'm told it's a must. I don't take statins, but know I need it ,and I've read that the ubiquinol is the most absorbable. This item is not the ubiquinol version,so I would probably recommend that version, even if it is more expensive.

As for how this product works or makes me feel, I find when it comes to supplements, I never can tell objectively whether a particular supplement is having an effect or not. It's so subjective as to be completely baffling. I wonder how I'd feel without coq10, but keep on taking it, just in case. After all, they tell us we need it!

CoQ10 is essential for anyone taking statins - this I have learned. And this is probably very good stuff - I just didn't notice any difference between this and what I normally take. So, it's not bad - it's just not special. If you need CoQ10, this is as good as any other.

Jarrow Formulas Q-Absorb Coq10 100mg (60 Softgels) seems to be an excellent product. What I like about it is the ease I have swallowing it. I might add that it is attractively packaged.

I have been a fan of Jarrow formulas for several years now. This company provides an excellent product at a reasonable price. Jarrow does its homework in terms of researching the literature and applying it to their formulas. They provide a some of this information on their labels.

Q-absorb is a fine example of this since it is made according to the laboratory tested Kaneka protocol. Clinical trials of the efficacy of Co-Q10 have used this trademark Kaneka formula- essentially a pharmaceutical grade Co-Q10. Pharmaceutical grade Co-Q10 has been show to increase the levels of Co-Q10 in the body up to 400%. This increases the energy generating powerhouses of the body at a cellular level, specifically ATP and Mitochondria function. It also acts as an antioxidant.

What does this mean for us supplement takers? The most verifiable result of the energy generating action of Co-Q10n is improved heart functioning. In my case I am taking it to help with the symptoms of fibromyalgia, specifically fatigue. This is a new application for Co-Q10 treatment with some promising results. There is not enough evidence to state that this product is a cure for fibromyalgia fatigue but since Co-Q10 has a proven beneficial effect on the body it is worth taking anyway. Andrew Weil the renowned natural health authority recommends taking a Co-Q10 supplement.

My results have been mixed. I take l00mg a day in the morning. If I take another 100 mg at noon about 50% of the time I experience a slight increase in energy. The most noticeable effect of a second dose is an increase in stamina- even if my energy is low I am not so drained after activity. I am considering increasing the noon dose to 200mg.

I am convinced Jarrow provides an excellent pharmaceutical grade Co-Q10 and will continue taking it.

I like to take these Jarrow Coq10 softgels, they are big, but go down easily. They leave no aftertaste at all. This product claims to be absorbed better than other products, and it makes sense to me that if I'm going to buy Coq10, I should get the most bang for the buck, and the price of these softgels is comparable to other brands. I've used Jarrow products before and have always been satisfied.

I've been taking supplements for many years now and am always on the lookout for quality products. One important supplement I take regularly is Coenzyme Q10, an antioxidant found in the body that helps convert food into energy. CoQ10 levels decrease with age and low levels are also associated with chronic illnesses and even with taking certain medications (e.g. statins). CoQ10, according to some research, can benefit the cardiovascular system and even help with exercise recovery.

This formula, made by Jarrow, has many positives. CoQ10 can be difficult to absorb, but Jarrow has a natural method they claim increases absorption considerably. In addition, Jarrow, as a company, submits to international good manufacturing practices (GMP) standards. This is very important with CoQ10 since some manufacturers have cheated the public with substandard CoQ10 or put less of it in a pill than advertised. Also, the softgel is fairly small and easy to swallow.

My biggest complaint is the recommended dosage of 1-3 softgels. At least they say to consult a physician. Most people, especially healthy ones, won't need anywhere near 100-300mg a day of CoQ10, especially since it's fat soluble, meaning excess amounts are stored in the fat. I personally only take one of these pills a week (with fat of some kind) and that's because I exercise a lot. Definitely consult with your doctor before throwing down three of these a day!

Also, the price is good, but not great. It's possible to find cheaper, high quality CoQ10 elsewhere. However, at least with Jarrow, you know you're dealing with a reputable company.

Overall, I recommend this product. Just be aware about dosage or you may be throwing away your money.

I have been taking Co-Q 10 for several years, since I developed a problem with erratic heartbeat. While I can't say that taking Co-Q 10 makes a difference (it's probably the beta blockers that are helping), I continue to take it daily - just in case. ;-) This product compares favorably with the products I have been purchasing from other online sources. Easy to swallow and moderately priced, I will probably purchase them again.
