Ultra Bone-Up  provides ossein hydroxyapatite complex (OHC) (from free-range Australian/New Zealand calves); which includes the superior combination of the inorganic calcium lattice of microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHA) within an organic protein milieu rich in naturally occurring growth factors. The OHC is combined with vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 as MK-7 (a more bioavailable form of vitamin K) to support the deposition of calcium into the bones as well as to assist in building up the organic bone matrix.* Also included are potassium citrate; glucosamine; SDG lignans from flaxseed; curcumin and resveratrol for optimal osteo support.*HEALTH CLAIM: Adequate calcium and vitamin D as part of a healthful diet; along with physical activity; may reduce the risk of osteoporosis later in life. Before starting these pills last year I was supposed to get a prescription filled for Actonel (used in the treatment of Osteoporosis). I decided instead to stick with traditional for awhile. I'm happy to say I just passed my bone density test after 8 months of being on Bone Up. So much for prescriptions and the side affects.

I have been taking Bone up for several years either the Ultra or the 1500 capsules. The ultra is these harder pills so not sure
if they are dissolving correctly in the digestive system. Also now it is combined with all these other additives. These are definitely more constipating than the 1500 capsule. I had a 48 year old friend that was taking the 1500 for 2 years and had a bone scan done and it came out marginal. I would think with supplements it should be fine at that young of an age especially since she is very active. I think after this bottle is gone I may try another brand for awhile.
