5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
Although I've had this album for quite a while it was good to see Amazon starting to carry it, and for a great import price. I loved Ich Bin Weider Hier so much that I bought the single, and that is another CD to look for; all the mixes are worthwhile. Wilkommen In Meinem Garten is also one of the best on here. If you are new to Blumchen, this is a great starter. It shows what good, happy, upbeat Eurodance and electronica can sound like. However, you also begin to hear the more pop-style leaking in for a few of the tracks. Unfortunately this seems to be the direction she is headed. Her best albums were first, Herzfrequenz and Verliebt, but this is still a must-buy.

Also note this is import is almost three years old and getting harder to find by the day. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up while you can, you won't be disappointed! As you may have guessed it does have German lyrics but that shouldn't shy anyone away. They are simple words but her voice is beautiful, which sounds good in any language. But I doubt few would argue that the real star is the DJ/composer of her music, Paralyzer. Excellent beats, catchy tunes... you can't be depressed when listening to classic Blumchen.

While the version I have is die Fanedition with extra tracks, a data CD of music videos, and keyring, you get much of the same of great Eurodance reminscient of her other works. Sadly, you do miss out on Tu es Mon Ile, the Yta Farrow Remix of Du bist ein Insel (You are My Island) and Heut' Ist Mein Tag (Today is My Day). These two without question are the best songs on the disc, which may disappoint fans who can only find this version. However that doesn't dissuade me from a 5 star rating because of the price and increasing rarity. I paid twice as much for mine. What can I say but wunderbar!

Sexy voice from a sexy girl, need I say more? The lyrics are simple enough that anyone can understand them, even though they are in German. After downloading her music from my school network, I was hooked, and just had to get her CDs. This is not a style I normally listen to (being a classic rock fan), but I will listen to her any day. I also reccommend "Die Welt gehort Dir", for a much different sound from her, to complement this.

The third album by the ex-Eurodance-queen. She changed her sound. There are a lot more ballads and more pop. There's less dance and more lyrics.
Ich bin wieder hier:(I am back again) Yes Blümchen is back again That's what she shows us with this dancesong.
Automatisch: (Automatic) Another Blümchen-song in wich she says that she is a oh-so-in-love-with-a-cute-guy-teenagergirl
Blaue Augen:(Blue eyes) Coverversion of a new wave-hit. Blümchen sings tha she doesn't give a damn if MTV plays her songs. Let me tell you that MTV NEVER played her songs.
Immer noch verliebt:(Still in love) Not a ballad but she slows a little bit down. It's so-so
Denk noch mal drüber nach. (Think about it once again) A ballad. nice
Willkommen in meinem Garten: (Welcome to my garden) The best song on this CD. It:s like an early Blümchen song. Less lyrics but great dance beats.
Hand in Hand - Gewalt ist doof. (Hand in hand - Violence is stupid): A song against violence in school. She helped writing the meaningful lyrics
Ganz bald: (Very soon) A slow and boring ballad.
Der Beste von allen: (The best of all). Again a fast song. It's so-so
U-Bahn: (Subway) Another boring ballad
So wie ein Wunder:(Just like a winder) A dance song. The lyrics are extremely silly
Nur für euch:(Just for you) Blümchen says thank you to her fans. Well done
Es ist vorbei) (It's over) Another romantic ballad

4.0 out of 5 stars A very nice album, even if not her best !, January 16, 2004

This review is from: Jasmin (Audio CD)
This is the 3rd album of my favourite singer. It's still a great album, but it's weaker than the 1st two. It has only 4 happy hardcore tracks, the rest is dance, pop, and ballads. "Ich Bin Wieder Hier" is a very nice cover from Rozzala's hit "Everybody's Free". "Blaue Augen" is a nice happy hardcore sound. "Wilkommen In Meinem Garten" is an AMAZING happy hardcore track, I LOVE this track, it's the best of the album, also very close to "Nur Fur Euch". "Der Beste Von Allen" is a good happy hardcore. "So Wie Ein Wunder" is an excellent dance song. "Denk Noch Mal Druber Nach" is a ballad, and I can tell that this 1 is very good (so rare, you know me - generally I totally hate ballads). "Automatisch" & "U-Bahn" are nice pop songs. But "Es Ist Vorbei" & "Ganz Bald" are extremely boring !!! These 2 ballads caused that album to lose 1 star. But if you like dance & happy hardcore, this is a nice album to buy, even if it is not the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for toddlers, January 24, 2010
This review is from: Jasmin (Audio CD)
Jasmin Blümchen is a German pop singer who was something of a Euro-disco icon for a couple of years. Her songs are essentially a kind of kiddie disco, with harmless lyrics about puppy love, summer sunshine and Christmas Eve.

Blümchen's video clips are great fun watching, provided you take them with a large grain of salt. For starters, many of them seem to be taped at exactly the same location, with Blümchen and her co-stars wearing exactly the same clothes! Another clip is taped in the Czech Republic (the road signs are in Czech). Why would a successful German pop star tape her video clips there??? Blümchen's lip movements aren't perfectly synchronized with the lyrics, and she is, quite frankly, very ugly (even with cleavage). The dolphins in one of her clips look lovely, though.

And yes, she does sing in German...

For whatever reason, this impossible artist became very popular in both Germany and Sweden (there is even a special Swedish edition of this album). The equally impossible Swedish pop star E-Type recorded a duet with her (not included here). And yes, I admit that my childish side loves this album! It's probably perfect for toddlers as well. Provided that the toddlers can dance, LOL.

Five stars...for the entertainment.

PS. My brother claims that "Jasmin Blümchen" doesn't really exist. One girl is singing the tracks on the album, and quite another girl is acting in the clips! This kind of surreal dadaism is typical of the genre. I mean, who cares?

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Delight!, March 5, 2007

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jasmin (Audio CD)
I love Scooter and Happy Hardcore in general, and was very pleased to find this CD. Think of it as Scooter meets Pop Diva, and you get the idea. At my age (47) the current pop scene blurs together, and simply doesn't provide the energy level I look for. Blumchen (blossom for us US folk - incidentally she sings in German only, otherwise I think she could have made an impact in the US market) certainly provides it, and it's music my spouse can tolerate in the car.

My obsession tracks on this CD are the first three: Ich Bin Wieder Hier, Automatisch (which sounds like a Paula Abdul song, but at twice the energy level), and Blaue Augen.

I'll certainly be seeking out more CD's by Blumchen!

5.0 out of 5 stars A little pop isn't always bad, June 17, 2002

"kyberteknik" (Orlando, Fl United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jasmin (Audio CD)
This album is, granted not one of her best but still a very excellent album. She took a trip into a slightly more popish dance theme and it came out very well. It saddens me however the number of people who describe Jasmin's music as 'pop' and 'euro dance'. For those that dont know, nearly ALL of Jasmin's music is Happycore or Happy Hardcore or if you prefere 4-beat (they all mean the same thing). Also, please look for 'Die Welt Gehört Dir' which prooves once again that Jasmin is not 'headed' towards pop.

To get on with it, I'll only go over the tracks that I like the best. Ich bin wieder hier (I am here again) is a great fast paced track reminding us that once again we have HAPPYCORE. Automatisch is a bit cheesy but catchy old-school pop sounding track. My personal favorites are Blaue Augen (Blue Eyes) and Immer Noch Verliebt (Still falling in love) wonderfully paced with excellent lyrics and vocals. Finally Der Beste Von Allen (The Best of All) is a cheery ballad about all the great guys in the world.

All in all this is a great album and I highly recommend it if you enjoy faced paced dance music.
