Product Description

Scent Name: Glycerine & Rosewater | Size: 30 oz .

Jason brand was born in California when a group of independent thinkers chose to blaze a trail towards a safer, gentler kind of personal care for their families. Taking the name Jason, which means "healer" in Greek, they rejected the trend toward risky artificial chemicals. Instead, they created healing blends of simple, wholesome ingredients, crafted by the Jason code of honor. For over 50 years the makers of the Jason brand have kept this code and committed themselves to delivering personal care solutions that are safe for us, our families, and our planet.

It makes my skin feel soft and smooth.

Best thing about Jason products is that they are organic, all natural, not tested on animals and contain no animal ingredients.

The smell is light and pleasant, the soap is mild, it suds up great, and the bottle dispenses well.

Having been a long-time user of the original JASON PURE, NATURAL & ORGANIC Satin Shower Body Wash, I was very surprised when I pulled a bottle from my new order that has a new label that no longer states that it IS organic. The label now simply states "Pure Natural Body Wash" in place of the original trademarked "SATIN SHOWER Body Wash." Must be a reason for all these words being replaced...

Upon reading the list of ingredients, I was further surprised to find that ALL FOUR ORIGINAL certified organic ingredients, Aloe Vera GEL, LAVENDER, CHAMOMILE, and MARIGOLD have been removed! Not to worry, they have been replaced with a lone, certified organic ingredient: Aloe Vera LEAF JUICE.

Even the original first ingredient of Purified Water has been replaced with just Water as its first ingredient, tsk, tsk!

Among the added multitude of different ingredients from sodium chloride and sodium sulfate to sodium lauryl Sulfo-acetates (a whole lot of sodium--not surprising to read reviews of drying out skin), I also noticed that (of course) the smell is different as well; no longer truly soothing, now more of a generic shampoo smell.

I called the 800 number and was informed that the 59-year-old company has gone through changes, including new labels and "product re-formulation." The labels as shown here on this site are more than a bit misleading as they no longer apply to the actual product you will receive. I have the containers of the original product and this new product side-by-side for comparison, and even though the new label says "New Look, Same Great Formula," that is blatantly NOT TRUE!

One can't stop Progress and it marches on...arm-in-arm with Big Business...*big sigh*. My search for organic health products that are actually good to human skin continues. But hey, now you can buy Jason in Wal-mart!

I have been using a Tea tree oil shampoo for a while. During my last pregnancy I got horrible "preganacy rash". Nothing at all helped until I tried a combination of this wash and a tea tree oil lotion. Now I use it on my daughter who has eczema. Doesn't irritate her skin at all.

WARNING: While posessing wonderful healing qualities, tea tree oil products are very irritating to the eyes. So be especially careful washing your face and if you use it on a child.

I'm a fan of these big pump bottles; they last forever and they're gentle on my skin. I see many reviewers complaining about the reformulated product, but it's still cruelty free, which is my preference. I had this misfortune of reading other customer's reviews before using this myself, and someone else hit the nail right on the head - it smells like old lady perfume. I might not have made the connection if I hadn't heard it before I used it.
The citrus scented version of this body wash is far superior, scent-wise. I think I'm going to take this back to the store I got it from.

I've been buying this brand for years as a good quality body wash that didn't have all the carcinogenic chemicals that other products have. Recently they've started to add in questionable ingredients that are not in-line with heath conscience individuals such as myself yet they are still charging the same price. I don't pay extra to get the same crap everyone else sells. I'm finished with Jason and going to find something better.

First of all, it smells like old woman's perfume. I don't like the smell at all. Neither does my husband. Not my favorite soap unfortunately,, still looking for a better one.

I was a first time user of this product and I love it . I like that it doesn't have the strong smell that mos t-tree stuff does. I even have used it on my hair and it left it shinny and clean.

I just love the smell of this body wash. It's something of nostalgia to me at this point, and it just feels so fresh and clean. As a man with extremely sensitive skin, I've never ever had any minute reaction to the ingredients in this, even after a slight formula change at one point. (I'm someone who if I wash my hands with pink goop soap or even some natural hand soaps will have scales, pus, and blisters on my hands within three days, so sensitive is an understatement. TMI perhaps, but when I say sensitive, I mean it.)

You'll find the chemical names for what effectively amounts to essential oils (tea tree) and various mild and naturally-derived soap agents. It's not a fully organic soap, but I trust the ingredients based upon how great it feels, smells, and that there have been no skin issues.

Smells strange and nothing like tea tree. The smell is reminiscent of pet shampoo. I wish I could say better things.
