1.0 out of 5 stars PURELY SYNTHETIC, March 24, 2010
This review is from: Jason Pure Beauty Oil, Vitamin E Oil 32,000 I.U., 1 oz. (Misc.)
After purchasing this, I realized that the advertised Natural Ingredients......of JASON Naturals Pure Vitamin E Oil, is in fact, purely synthetic!

& Natural Vitamin E is best for your skin, without a doubt.

The culprit- JASON- once small, has

been merged as part of Hain Celestial Group, and the original intent

of the products has been rearranged by money hungry decision

makers. Hain Celestial offered their condolences to me, by offering

me coupons for more of their products. They explained to me, that

"It has always been our policy to use raw materials of natural

origin in our products. We put emphasis on both safety and

performance. When effective natural functional ingredients are

unavailable, then to satisfy our customer's needs we reluctantly

use synthetic ingredients with a plan to look for a replacement of

natural origin. As per policy, whenever any Natural alternative

with similar performance is available, we will definitely revise

our formulas using natural substitutes. "

Natural Vitamin E

oil, unavailable? Vitamin E oil is found in a vasta array of vegetables

& grains, one of the highest being in the Wheat Germ (the part

of the Wheat grain that is chopped off when refining grains into White

flour.) JASON even goes as far as to advertise a plant with an uncanny

resemblance to Wheat grain, peacefully growing out of the side of

the bottle. The truth, is that it is simply cheaper, to manufacturer synthetic

ingredients, and sell it for high prices on the market, as if it

was- Natural.

Considering that Hain Celestial one of the leading

organic/natural food corporations in the US, this definitley has me

questioning their general ethics, and how often they are staying true

to their claims advertised on food & beauty products.

This practice is highly unethical,

and disappointing for the thousands of us that practice choosing

& supporting what we feel are healthy alternatives for our bodies.

Perhaps

this is a loop hole in the system that HCG is able to pass thru. If

this is the case, I urge everyone to contact the Better Business

Bureau in your area, to show support for positive change, and to

express that there needs to be Quality Control Standards enforced on these products

& their claims.

Hain Celestial's biggest investor is

Wellington Management, whose primary investors include Exxon Mobil, Pfizer,

Alcoa, Gillette, Pepsi, McDonald's, and Wal-Mart. Funny that by

supporting Organics, you still may be supporting such destructive

practices.

It is a nice enough claim that, " At JASON it is

our mission to make the best and most effective natural products in

the marketplace. And each year, with every new product we create, we

continue to hold ourselves to that standard. Our unique

formulations are infused with botanicals, plants, roots, herbs,

proteins, vitamins and minerals, all from the earth. It has always

been our belief that our beautiful planet gives us everything we

need."

so Lovely, indeed :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential for Skin Healing, June 28, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jason Pure Beauty Oil, Vitamin E Oil 32,000 I.U., 1 oz. (Misc.)
My parents used to sell vitamins and my dad has been taking Vitamin E for what seems like my entire lifetime. When I accidentally spilled a bowl of hot jello on my stomach as a child, I was worried I would have a lovely scar for life. Fortunately our local drug store in Africa sold a Vitamin E soaked gauze pad that you could keep over the burn and it completely healed and there is no scar.

So, I've looked for Vitamin E gauze in America and have not found any. So, I buy the Johnson and Johnson First Aid Gauze pads and if I burn myself on the rare occasion while cooking, I soak the pad with the Jason Vitamin E oil and have noticed great results in a short period of time. The Nexcare Gentle Paper First Aid tape also works well to hold the gauze in place. If you are allergic to band-aids, this is a lifesaver!

The JASON 32,000 I.U. Vitamin E Pure Beauty Oil has been a favorite for years because it has a little wand attached to the lid which makes application very easy, although you may not want to use the wand directly on the burn, just it allows the oil to drip off nicely

onto the site of application.

If you want to take healing a step further, try blending this product with lavender oil or the Derma E Calm oil formula. Vitamin E is one of the most potent antioxidant vitamins around and it is essential to skin. It helps with the utilization of oxygen in the tissues, prevents free radical damage and can also act as a natural preservative in cosmetics.

Other Uses:

Dry Skin

Burns

Dry Lips

Wrinkles

Damaged Skin

Scar Prevention

1.0 out of 5 stars Not natural!, December 28, 2010
This review is from: Jason Pure Beauty Oil, Vitamin E Oil 32,000 I.U., 1 oz. (Misc.)
I purchased this thinking it was an all-natural product. The only ingredient listed is Tocopheryl. However, I've discovered that its made from a synthetic form of Vitamin E. I will not be repurchasing this. The label should be clear and straightforward.

I'd appreciate it if someone pointed me in the direction of natural vitamin e oil. Its better for you and more effective than the synthetic version. From what I can see all of the vitamin e oils listed on Amazon are synthetic.

Natural vitamin e oil has the following ingredient. Natural = tocopherol

tocopheryl= synthetic
