It does not matter if your child suffers from a medical condtion or not, you must read this with your children. This story is a lesson for all of us. It touches your heart and reminds you that you can't give up on your dreams. This is a good lesson for any child and any adult. Inspiring children...,

This review is from: Jason's #16 Dream (Paperback)
Jason's #16 Dream, by Sherry Moore, is a great children's tale. Tailored for the older child, it tells of one child's life with health issues and a mother's desire to make someone pay attention. Showing strength of character, you follow one child from the beginning of his issues till his eventual recovery. My own son, who is 11, thought it was "an awesome story." Recommended for kids of all ages, it is insightful yet easy to read. It is quite the inspiration.

A Must Read,
This review is from: Jason's #16 Dream (Paperback)
Jason's #16 Dream is a must read not only for children but also for every parent with children. Even after being told that there is nothing wrong with your child, there are some things a mother just knows. Sherry Moore leaves the reader with a very happy and heartfelt ending. I highly recommend this book and give it a five star rating.

A Wonderful Book For Everyone,
By Donna Laird (Arkansas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jason's #16 Dream (Paperback)
Jason is a nine year old boy with a dream of playing touch football. When he is told at the age of ten that he can never play football by his doctor, Jason is heartbroken. Jason has a pelvic kidney which means his left kidney isn't protected by ribs it's in the wrong spot. If he were to get hit in the stomach it could make him lose that kidney.
Sherry Moore has done it again with a story that will touch your heart and your life in a very special way. This book is for adults and children alike. You will feel everything that Jason feels as he has to learn to cope with not doing something he had always dreamed of. I highly recommend this wonderful book as a must read.

A Good Book to Use for Dialoguing With Your Kids,
By ReadingTub Reviews (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jason's #16 Dream (Paperback)
Jason loves sports. He plays baseball in the spring and summer, and REALLY wants to play football in the fall. When he finally gets his chance, life throws Jason a medical curve that forces him to rethink his dream. This is the biography of a nine-year-old boy with Adrenal Insufficiency brought on by Asthma treatment. This is a fast read, and you'll want to read it when your kids are done. The medical information if valuable to have, especially if you have a child with Asthma, not to mention a future Cy Young or Heisman Winner in your family. The story moves quickly, almost too quickly to get the author's goal of teaching that you should never give up. There are opportunities to talk about fear, disappointment, positive thinking, and worries. This is a good book for DIALOGUING with your kids.
