This review is from: Jaton NVIDIA GEForce2 MX400 PCI 64 MB DDR TV Out Video Adapter (VIDEO-118PCI-64DDR-T) (Personal Computers)
This video card is not for super-gamers, but if you use your PC mainly for browsing or for "not-too-heavy" games it will do the job in an outstanding way. The Nvidia GPU processor is good for Linux users too, and is fairly superior than built-in video chips on some cheap Mobos. Recommended.

Good cheap video card,
Ok video card. It did its job of hooking my uncles tv to his computer. It shipped quickly and I have no complaints.

Have used probably 30 of these cards, in older PC's.
A solid card. Good replacement for built-in video [shared memory] Idid lose a few when the el-cheapo fan diedand the card seemed to have overheated. Installing replacement fans AFTER the oem fan died has never brought one back to life [in my experience] If the fan is making noise, replace it ASAP. Vendor should have used a standard 40mm fan, instead of the propietary type they used. I like the video card, but hate the cooling fan.

Excellent performance and stability,

This is an excellent video adapter for an older machine.
The board is constructed with great attention to quality. The GEForce2 chip has a very quiet fan over it. Comes with drivers CD (which you shouldn't need, as the newest NVIDIA drivers are available on their website) and installation instructions. Works fine in SUSE Linux 9.0. |
