2.0 out of 5 stars Symbian is Dead, March 31, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Java ME on Symbian OS: Inside the Smartphone Model (Symbian Press) (Paperback)
This is pretty much the only book available for Java ME on Symbian OS. If that is it, then Symbian is dead. The book goes to explain all the various problems developing for Symbian. Topics are mixed and matched. The book lists several SDKs to follow without clear guidelines on how/where to download and how to best utilize them. I would have liked to see more about touchscreen based mobile devices (next generation phones). Links are missing throughout the book. The book does not even try to explain how to publish a Java ME application.

Conclusion: the book does neither give advice on development nor does it talk about publishing an application.
