This review is from: Java Style (Hardcover)
This book is an education and a delight. Insight and information from top Indonesian designers and photographers -- explore beatiful private homes and public spaces. Historical, timely, the authors present the vision of everyone from colonial architects to modern-day antique dealers. A steal at the price!

One of the better "Style" Books available,

This review is from: Java Style (Hardcover)
This is certainly one of the better "Style" Books, because it actually concentrates on the Architectural and Stylistic Tradition of Java instead of adaptations and interpretations. (See "Bali Style" as an example of this) The Photography is also excellent, and so is the printing. Many examples of traditional Javanese Architecture and Design are presented, along with an introduction and history of this unique and beautiful Style, which helps for a better understanding. The Price is also right.
