Hello All,
I Have taken Java 1 and C++. I am also going to be taking Operating systems that will require us to usa Java in the project. What is a good book to use to be able to do the programming Assignments and the project?
If we use C instead what is a good book?
Thank you

G. Jones says:
If you're doing C the K & R book (The C Programming Language) is the one many recommend, they wrote C after all. However this book hasn't been updated to cover C99 which is a more recent standard for C which became an ANSI standard in 2000.

There's many books on Java. You will need two books, a reference book (although you can use the web these days) and a tutorial book. It may be helpful to get a book which covers the development environment you are using, eg. Eclipse, NetBeans etc..
