More About the Author

Dan Shafer is a spiritual coach, teacher, author and lecturer known for his crystal-clear explanations of deep spiritual subjects and his powerful meditations. His most recent book, "The Power of I AM: Claiming your inherent power to consciously create a life of purpose, meaning and joy", explains that how we finish the sentence "I AM..." largely determines what we attract or create in our lives. The book also teaches a new approach to meditation that Dan developed over a decade. This affirmation-based technique is designed to help seekers who have had difficulty in the past learning to meditate or who are seasoned meditators looking for a deeply fresh experience.

A long-time journalist and author, Dan has more than 50 books, and thousands of magazine and newspaper articles, Web articles and blog posts to his credit.

Dan, an ordained Interfaith minister, presently serves as the volunteer Spiritual Teacher in Residence at Unity of Monterey Bay on California's Central Coast. In his private practice as a spiritual coach, he supports individual seekers in finding their own spiritual paths and truths based on the principles of the Oneness of All Things, universal love and absolute forgiveness. Among spiritual seekers, he is famous for his slogan, "There's only one of us here."

The founder of the online spiritual community known as the One Mind Fellowship (http://www.onemindfellowship.org), Dan has dedicated the past 20 years to learning and studying a variety of spiritual and religious traditions, looking for common messages and teachings. He is also a frequent contributor to several blogs and Web sites for spiritual seekers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Only for the Reference, August 5, 2000
This review is from: JavaScript & Netscape Wizardry: The Ultimate Guide to Harnessing the Power of JavaScript and the New Version of Netscape (Paperback)
This book contains a great reference of methods, properties and events avalible to JavaScript 1.0. And it also mensions a couple of bugs that came with the Macintosh NS2. However, the source code on the CD comes with errors (using NS2 and NS3 as well as IE4) and much of the book is fluff. I hope Mr. Shafer's efforts on books after this contained a little more editing and investigation. I bought this book for a $1 at a garage sale for the reference, and that is what I think it is worth. Eric

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book To Learn From, April 15, 1999
This review is from: JavaScript & Netscape Wizardry: The Ultimate Guide to Harnessing the Power of JavaScript and the New Version of Netscape (Paperback)
This is a great book to learn from. The author shows you code and the results of how the code works. There is also a reference in the back of all the Javascript objects' methods and properties.
