The old adage, "You get what you pay for." may be trite but it is so true. I recently bought the Jawbone Catch pictured here from Amazon with the intent of using it as a multi-point headset. It was rated highly by CNET and, although I had had a less than stellar experience with an earlier Jawbone model (I was told it did not work with Motorola cell phones), I decided to try it again. I'm sorry to say that I wasn't surprised when it didn't work. Cynical though that may sound, in today's world, more times than not, most consumables don't seem to work the first time. It used to incense me but now I'm bored.

I checked on Jawbone's troubleshooting forum and, surprise, surprise, there were three pages of this very complaint. Their solution was to reset the thing but when I did, it still didn't work. One thing that seemed to be common among the complaints: the headsets were ordered from Amazon.

I then telephoned Jawbone technical support and spoke to a very nice, understanding woman. We tried reseting but when I pressed the talk button, nothing. She determined that it was a faulty talk switch and gave me instructions as to how I can get a replacement from Jawbone itself. She then gave me a friendly warning that if the Jawbone is not purchased from them, it's anyone's guess where they've come from or if they've been refurbished. Note to Amazon: you need to check that.

The one-star rating is not against Jawbone (yet) but against you, Amazon. I'm sure, by now, you are aware that these items are a problem. Enough people have been screaming on Jawbone's forum and they are naming names (you). I have been a loyal and mostly satisfied customer for a long time. Please don't ruin the relationship. I'm not being nasty, just truthful from my experience.

I'll keep this short and sweet - Speaking as an individual with plenty of experience with various bluetooth headsets (I've owned a Jawbone Prime, Plantronics Voyager Pro+, and a Plantronics 975) and I would have to say that this is the best bluetooth headset I have ever had the pleasure of using.

The noise cancellation is as good as it gets on the market right now. The headset (when used with the large earbud loop, for myself) fits EXTREMELY comfortably in my ear. It is so very lightweight that I constantly forget I have it on and always get teased about wearing it at awkward moments!

I also have to say, with respect to this very particular model I have purchased I think the ICON in white is a very sexy, sleek looking accessory. Also extremely small and unobtrusive - if you are switching from a Jawbone Prime you will be shocked at how much shorter this unit is.

The app store for the headset is pretty useless to me, but there are apps you can get for your headset to take voice memos, send voice texts, etc. for those of you that are interested.

This headset also supports A2DP which lets you listen to podcasts, music, and so on through your headset. I really love this feature! And combined with the comfortable fit of the headset this is a feature I am constantly enjoying. And feel free to listen away - the battery life on this unit always lasts me a solid 4 hours on A2DP and nearly identical talk time as well.

Buy this headset, you will be very happy if you appreciate good quality electronics.

I've been very happy with my Jawbone. It is light, holds its charge, and has a little bit of funk for that little ear piece that is now the law. My only issue is that the in the inner-ear attachment is not a perfect fit - I could use the over the ear attachments, but I have glasses and don't find that comfortable. So over all, I would suggest trying out the fittings as that will be the only real drawback to this device that I can see.

Through the years I have had numerous bluetooth headsets. They all ended up in the junk drawer due to various problems. Mainly clarity and comfort. I decided to hang my iphone around my neck so I also wanted a headset for convenience. I love my Jawbone Icon! It is so convenient with very good voice clarity. The model I bought is the ICON and though it is called white it is actually pearl. Just right for this little old lady. I had to use the Jawbone customer service to order an ear hanger and they were terrific. Call me a satisfied customer.

Finally a great bluetooth device. I can hear the call. They can hear me. The volumes for both people is great. Pairs well with my iTouch too.

I purchased an ICON on sept 8 2011 on OCT 28 2011 it died! I contacted JAWBONE and they will not honor it saying I did not purchase from an authorized reseller. I read and reread their warranty and there is NOTHING in it about this. This company does not care about its customers and I warn everyone that is thinking of buying any jawbne product to get something else! Yes when it worked it was good but what good is a 1 year warranty that a company will not honor. SO BUYER BEWARE on ALIPH. They are horrible. I will be filing a complaint with the Mass Attny General on this.

This is my third and last jawbone. They start out fine but for some reason quickly degrade to performing inconsistently, sometimes sounding fine, other times dropping out sporadically (regardless of having 4 bars).

My husband and I bought this item for our son for Christmas. We did not realize that it was PEARLIZED white which may have been more of a feminine than masculine look. As he is very light, it blended in with his coloring, but I was disappointed that the white was not specified to be PEARL. It seems to work fine, however, and is comfortable to wear, and stays in place even when active, he says.

I did a lot of research, looking for a comfortable bluetooth headset with noise suppression. I use it at least 2 hours a day. Great sound quality and the noise suppression is tops. Way better than the prior version, partly bc smaller lighter and more comfortable, partly bc it literally talk to you, telling you when on, connected, number that's calling in, etc. Also the USB/AC adapter for the new version uses a generic mini adapter rather than a proprietary one. And, the assortment of sizes of rubber ear cushions makes sure than it will fit anyone who buys it. Finally, tho it comes with an ear loop, most users won't need it because the connection into the ear combined with the light weight of the product are close to perfect.

Very easy to use, long lasting battery and has got any function that anyone could look for in a bluetooth headset.
