I absolutely love the Jawbone Icon. I don't make any decisions like this in haste and really did A LOT of research for months. I was intent on getting a bluetooth earphone that was both comfortable, and such that NO ONE could detect a difference between it and speaking directly into the phone. I have been more than pleased. I have a Motorola Droid, and people always complain if I try to use the phone balanced between my shoulder and jaw while trying to use my hands. They say I sound like a robot! The Jawbone has been so wonderful that I've been using my cell phone instead of my landline (thanks to Friends and Family, it's affordable), I'm a safer driver when I need to use my phone in the car, and it truly does "assassinate" wind and any other outside interference. In addition, for comfort, it comes with several earpieces and configurations to get the best, secure fit, regardless of the size of your ear or how you feel most comfortable wearing an earbud. GREAT BUY! You pay a little more upfront, but you'll be completely satisfied!

This review is from: Jawbone Icon The Ace (Electronics)
After purchasing a Motorola Droid during the holidays (January, I believe), I had been considering buying a Bluetooth headset for it. I finally committed and decided that the Jawbone ICON Ace was the one that I wanted. I did a little background on it and everything that's been said about call quality, ease of use, and everything else is spot on.
The call quality is superb. Everyone that I've talked to using while using the headset have never complained about background noise (and due to my line of work, I am in and around very loud environments frequently). NoiseAssassin works as advertised and I am glad that Jawbone advertises it so heavily. The headset is perfect and has no problems handling the volume levels of calls, even when I set my phone as loud as it can go. The voices may sound "tinny" at times, but for the most part, the calls are as clear as I could want. The design of the headset is superb. This particular design is flashy without being overbearing or gaudy. The back of the headset does tend to get covered in fingerprints fairly easy, but that can be fixed quickly by just wiping it off. The VAS sensor on the inside of the headset rests perfectly on the side of your head, with mine sitting at the top of my cheek. The headset weighs enough that, combined with the light touch of the VAS, after a short period of time I tend to forget that I have it on. The only complaint I have with the design is the earpieces. The ergo-designed ones fit better than the normal ones with an ear loop, although sometimes I still feel like it's on the verge of falling out. Because of that, I have started to use the ear loop as extra protection in case it does. After about 2 hours of use, your inner ear does seem to get a little sore, but I also am constantly adjusting it, so that may have some bearing on the soreness. The single, multi-use button takes a little bit of getting used to, but is definitely easy to use once you get it down. The voice dialing is nice and the button is easy to find while driving and easy to press. Pairing it with my phone was a breeze. Simply turned on the phone's Bluetooth and turned on the headset. Paired on the first try. As much as I have used the Ace, I have never had problems with it connecting and disconnecting from the phone or anything of that nature. Overall, the Jawbone ICON definitely lives up to it's reputation and, now that I've used it, I wouldn't go with any other product. Jawbone will always be the first place I look for headsets from here on out.
