Big Dissapointment,
After reading a couple of review and looking around on the Jawbone website it looked like this was one of the better bluetooth headsets out there. Impressed with the technology and hoping that the price was indicative of the quality I was sorely dissapointed.
First of all I had problem with the battery and had to return the first Jawbone Prime I got but even with a decent battery life the sound quality is dismal at best. The noise assasin works SO well it even cuts out my speech, people tell me my voice cuts in and out. I couldn't beleive it as I didn't find any bad reviews out there so I tested it in various conditions by leaving myself voicemails in different situation. In a quiet environment (indoors at home) my voice sounds thin and metallic but I can hear all the words clearly. One minus - I can hear footstep sounds as I walkaround on hardwood floors! Outdoors - this is really where it dissapoints. After seeing the demonstration on the website I had expectations that I can hear myself walking through a construction site. After all this was the reason why I forked out the extra $$ - to use it in noisy locations including public transport but what I found was that this was on par or worse that cheap no-name bluetooth headsest. I have to admit that the noise assissin cuts out or at least jumbles up background noise so that I cannot make out any background noise eg sound of car horns, buses passing by etc. But at the same time my speech is also distorted and cuts in and out so much that it is hard to make out sentences. I'm not sure if this is a dud and but I have had this problem with 2 Jawbone prime headsets. I had problems with the first set so changed it for a new one but the sound quality has not changed much. Is it possible that this one is also a dud? I'm intesrested to hear feedback from other people.

BlueTooth that Works!,

Over the years I've purchased, and returned, 5 BlueTooth headsets. They were uncomfortable and the sound quality horrible. I tried the JawBone Prime based on a friend's recommendation. It's terrific! Great sound quality and noise cancelling (people can't tell I'm in the car). Plus, it's very comfortable thanks to the multiple earbuds and ear piece.
Quality seems good although I'm having a little trouble getting used to the imbedded buttons. I had a little trouble pairing it with my phone, Blackberry and Skype, but that's because the instructions weren't clear. If you hit the Talk and the Noise Cancelling buttons at the same time (instead of Talk for 2 seconds) it will pair with no problem. I got that from the web site. More as I continue to use it.

Great headset,
I've been so happy with the Jawbone Prime. It blocks out background noise when I'm talking on it.

I've owned them all. Plantronics, Jabra, Motorola.... This is by far, the best blue tooth I've owned yet. People I speak with on a regular basis can really tell the difference and say this is the clearest device I've tried yet.
Cons: only one. This may jsut be the unit I received, but the battery doesn't last more than a full day of use. Which is not really a big deal, but the plantronics discovery I had previously would last for days without plugging in.

My wife has a Jawbone II and absolutely loves it. When I talk with her as she's driving down the freeway there's no background noise at all - it's amazing. So when it was time for me to get a new headset, I thought I'd give the Jawbone Prime a shot. Unfortunately it didn't work out so well for me so I wound up returning it.
Pros: +Light weight +Small +Great noise reduction +Charger plug vast improvement over original Jawbone design +Comes with 6 different ear gels and 2 hooks (only a pro if they actually fit you - none of them worked for me) Cons: -Ear hook isn't flexible so you can't reshape it to fit around your ear -Included ear gels for using it hookless weren't comfortable and hurt the inside of my ear. The material should be a lot softer than it is -The speaker sounded kind of crackly when volume was turned up -Speaker isolation wasn't very good. When I was driving down the freeway I heard a lot of my own road noise -Buttons are impossible to find making it hard to turn on and off

I had great anticipation for this Jawbone model. My first Jawbone has done great service, but now the battery is in decline and this model was supposed to be the substitute for use with my BlackBerry 9000. Alas, this model would not enter the pairing mode despite all my efforts with both the device AND my BlackBerry. As it turned out, the device simply would not enter the manual pairing mode after repeat attempts. It is defective right out of the box.
I have returned the product and wonder if Jawbone production is getting sloppy.

I use this device everday and its the BEST headset I have ever used. I drive a big truck and before I got this headset the calls from my wife were very short because she couldn't take the noise in the background, now I have to hit the big horn just so she knows that I am at work(haha). Try it. The battery life is ok, don't expect to talk for six hours on something so small. Just get the over priced car charger and it will pay for itself in due time.

Headset kept falling off; switch to all earbud sizes included but none did the trick. It was too heavy, I think. Volume didn't worked for me either and the battery life SUCKED donkeys!!! Device shut after a few hours. Returned it and got a Plantronics Discovery 975 which I strongly recommend.

I've owned four different Bluetooth headsets and the Jawbone Prime has the best sound quality (by far) of any of them. People can't even tell I'm driving when I'm in the car and it has great wind noise cancellation as well.
The ear piece covers come in different sizes, and even though I've had a lot of fit trouble with other brands, this flexbility allowed me to get a perfect fit. The headset is secure without the optional ear loops (it comes with two styles of these). One minor drawback is that the buttons are hard to press, but the benefits far outweight this in my opinion.

Still needs some work on the sound quality-noise cancellation dept...,

This is my third Bluetooth headset and the first from Jawbone. Although the Jawbone is the best thus far, still, there are issues that need to be addressed with this and other wireless devices; mainly, with sound quality and noise reduction-cancellation on both ends of the conversation. The Jawbone may have advanced noise reduction qualities; however, they are not light years ahead of the competition. Believe it or not, the best headsets for cell phones are still the wired/plug-in models. The sound quality is better than any Bluetooth available, hence the wire. For the price, the Jawbone is worth the money for the added convenience of wireless capability; nonetheless, if you are looking for unsurpassed call quality and noise reduction for both you and your receiving party, $15-20 for a wired noise-cancellation earbud or headset can't be beat!
