Had a lot of fun playing this game, and the younger kids learned a lot. The premise of the game is this: The first player plays a subject card and names any word in that subject. Second player has 20 secods to play one of their own subject cards, but their word has to start with the last letterof the previous players answer. If time runs out, they have to draw a card. First player to get rid of all their cards wins! The problem with it is if you have a wide age range of people playing, it can be hard for the younger ones to keep up. My husband and I played with our 13, 11 and 8 year olds, and our 8 year old would get frustrated she could not think of a word quick enough, but, the more she plays, the more she learns! Overall a very good family game.

I love any game that Jax creates. This is a wonderful game that helps build vocabulary. I am a teacher and my kids love this game! It has helped my second language learners learn new English words and it has challenged all my students. It is a great addition to any classroom.

Jax Games has mostly produced games that require some math skills or use playing cards. Respond is about the only game they offer that is a word association game. It includes a 20 second electronic timer as well. The cards show many different categories, such as animals, countries and fruits. The first player lays a card down and says any word within that category. The next player must respond with any other category. However, the word must start with the last letter of the previous word. For example if someone says "elephant", the next player's word must start with "t", since that's the last letter of the previous word.Once a card is played, that player pushes the button on the timer. The next player has 20 seconds to play a card. If time runs out, the player must take an extra card. This is a very enjoyable game that people of all ages can play.
