Sequence Numbers Another great game from the Sequence people. I bought this game for use in my first-grade ESL class, but found it was too difficult for them at this point. However, it proved to be perfect for third, fourth, and even some fifth graders who are in the initial stages of learning English. Most students mastered, or outgrew, the game in short order. So, I simply made a new set of cards with more difficult math problems, for example "7 X 3 - 1=?" or "111 ÷ 11=?). (Come on, Sequence people, you should have thought of that first!) Thus, whether you use the game cards or make up your own more challenging cards, this game will be fun as well as educational for your smart pre-schooler, your struggling grade-schooler, or even your genius middle- or high-schooler.

Our kids love the Sequence games. We started off with Sequence for Kids and they loved matching. Our son, who is 5 now, was very interested in States and Capitals and loved the States and Capitals Sequence game, so when he showed an early interest in learning how to add and subtract it was an easy decision to purchase this game. Since he already knew how to add and subtract using his fingers or objects, we just added a calculator for him to figure out the larger equations.

My students love to play this game. I bought one 2 years ago and the students have worn it out. I would recomend this for a classroom or at home.

Everyone in the family will enjoy this one. We play it so often it doesn't make its way back upstairs in the game closet! It's a great way to help your kids with math skills while having fun, also a refresher for you :-)

I got this for my Kindergartener to learn math and I love the game, but the equations are slightly advanced for his age. He's six and quite bright, but he can't quite do double digit addition/subtraction in his head yet. A sample equation would be: 23-17 (you then find a 6 on the board). The age recommendations are right on for this, it's probably perfect for a typical 2nd grader (7+ years). But you will have to play as teams if you have younger children. I do love how the answers are color coded, and the board squares are larger and easier to see than regular Sequence or the States/Capitals version. Overall I like it and would recommend it highly. It's a great family night game.

My elementary level students LOVE playing this game! They get to play it at a couple times a week and still ask for more. I really appreciate that it is a fun way to get them to practice their facts.

Ok I like this game a lot! I like that we have to use addition and subtraction to play. It does strengthen basic math skills. This game also requires strategy to win. However, sometimes you run out of options and can no longer use certain cards if your number is equal to the numbers already being played on the board. This makes it a bit frustrating (especially for kids). Not only are they trying to do mental math and game strategy to get 5 in a row, but when the numbers their cards equal are already covered, they have to figure out what to do. Special learners will need a bit of guidance from mom or dad when this happens. My 9-yr-old son does not enjoy this game as much as I do. He realizes he's doing math and there's nothing else to keep him interested other than the chance of winning and spending time with momma. Otherwise, this is a great game for strengthening basic addition & subtraction, and using strategy to look at the cards and determine the best option for getting 5 in a row. Parents can bend the rules a bit and only require 4 in a row. Kids may find the game a little boring.
