Not only is this the best tasting natural whey, but it is also from grass-fed, non-rgbh/hormone cows. I used to use Nutrition Designer whey, but that is a mixture of whey concentrate plus isolate. Designer Protein uses ion exchange to isolate their whey, which is not as good. (I would put links to explain this but Amazon would remove them.) Furthermore, Next Nutrition Designer Whey uses sucralose and acesulfame k as sweeteners, which are unnatural, man-made chemicals I'd rather not ingest.

Jay Robb mixes well when I use a shaker cup, and certainly mixes well when I use a blender.

If I had to buy some whey and I could not get Jay Robb, I guess I'd go with BioChem. Their powders are created using the same type of technology, taste almost as good and are cheaper. They do have 4 grams of sugar, whereas Jay Robb has none. This is good and bad -- good because BioChem can use less Stevia for a sweetener, and bad because I don't want extra sugar. I don't mind stevia in small quantities - it is safe, natural and does the job, but you can detect it if you are a sensitive taster. I am used to it, though, and it is not very detectable in most of the Jay Robb powders.

The only downside of this brand of whey is that it is very expensive. There are some places online that discount it -- even some merchants here on Amazon, but many do use retail pricing.

I don't know about all the scientific stuff and how much better it is than other protein drinks, all I know is that this is the best tasting vanilla whey protein I've tried. I don't usually drink straight, but with skim milk and fruit, it doesn't over power the fruit like other protein powders. Good stuff.

After trying any number of whey protein products, this one was a pleasant surprise. I only tried the vanilla, but it was really very tasty; in smoothies, in almond milk, blended with ice, it didn't seem to matter. Highly recommend it. There's a big difference in price among vendors. The local grocery store price was almost twice what it was online, even with the shipping charges. It's more expensive than most whey protein drinks but the taste is worth it.

I will say that the protein shake tastes good but upon inspection one notices that the supposed protein from grass-fed cows is not from grass-fed cows after all. The package does not mention a thing about it, and if it was from grass-fed cows, rest assurred they would mention it just like a car mentions when it gets high gas mileage.

Then, it tells you how "superior" the product is, but it really isn't! It claims the cows are not given the hormone rBGH, but Jay Robb weasels out of this one by putting a disclaimer on this and stating that at times there are not enough rBGH milk supplies available and they've to use US supplies--translation US milk from cows filled with artificial steroids.

Amazingly, Chobani yogurt, which is in virtually every supermarket in the US, is able to get enough steroid-free milk for its yogurt but little Jay Robb cannot get enough for its company. Jay Robb is not even one of the leading producers of protein, much less a major player in the milk market. Basically the only "cow" product we get from this company is a lot of bull. I would venture to say that Chobani uses more milk in one day than Jay Robb uses in a whole year.

Then on the company's Website is more bull. They state that they cannot use organic because there are not enough supplies available. Seriously? Organic Valley and Horizon have organic milk in virtually every supermarket throughout the US, but surprisingly Jay Robb cannot find enough supplies. Just how big does Jay Robb think his company is? Again this is more lies from the company...certainly there is enough organic milk out there but again the compnay is too cheap to cough up the bucks to use it.

If you are bothered by artificial sweeteners and fillers, this protein is for you! It has stevia in it and doesn't spike blood sugars, as some other sweeteners can. It is more expensive, but it is worth it.Tastes great!

Good value. I was buying individual packets at The Vitamin Store. But I went to Amazon and saved some coin. However do not go overboard with the product. A little goes a long way!
