Not only is this the best tasting natural whey, but it is also from grass-fed, non-rgbh/hormone cows. I used to use Nutrition Designer whey, but that is a mixture of whey concentrate plus isolate. Designer Protein uses ion exchange to isolate their whey, which is not as good. (I would put links to explain this but Amazon would remove them.) Furthermore, Next Nutrition Designer Whey uses sucralose and acesulfame k as sweeteners, which are unnatural, man-made chemicals I'd rather not ingest.

Jay Robb mixes well when I use a shaker cup, and certainly mixes well when I use a blender. Dreamsicle is really good - mixed with OJ it tastes like an Orange Julius. In milk, reminds me a little of Fruit Loops. I've also tried the strawberry, which reminds me of the Nestle's strawberry we used to drink as children. I think vanilla is my favorite, though. The Pina Colada is pretty good, too.

If I had to buy some whey and I could not get Jay Robb, I guess I'd go with BioChem. Their powders are created using the same type of technology, taste almost as good and are cheaper. They do have 4 grams of sugar, whereas Jay Robb has none. This is good and bad -- good because BioChem can use less Stevia for a sweetener, and bad because I don't want extra sugar. I don't mind stevia in small quantities - it is safe, natural and does the job, but you can detect it if you are a sensitive taster. I am used to it, though, and it is not very detectable in most of the Jay Robb powders.

The only downside of this brand of whey is that it is very expensive. There are some places online that discount it -- even some merchants here on Amazon, but many do use retail pricing.

A few years ago I purchase this exact flavor and it's tasted like an orange ice cream float, a really good taste. I just purchased just same flavor and noticed a change in the taste. I'm not sure if it's been setting on the shelf for a long time and starting to lose it's flavor or the formula has changed but it's not as orange tasting it's more of a subtle flavor and not so great tasting. This use to be one of the best tasting whey protein I'd ever tasted.

I did not buy this at Amazon once again, I bought it at Kroger. The taste is not as bad as the regular chocolate, which had a very distinct soapy taste. I gave this flavor a try based on reviews and the fact that a serving is one...1...gram of carbs!?! This is the lowest on the market. It is also flavored with stevia. I like stevia because it is natural and has been used as a sweetener for over 100 years overseas without incident. Sucralose and Aspertame are toxic and addictive and tend to raise blood sugar levels just like plain old fashioned sugar.
Okay, back to how I doctored it to get that orange flavor I so crave, orange oil from the baking isle. A few drops and "BAM!" you get the actual flavor that Jay Robb has managed to leave out of this product. It's a shame Jay Robb doesn't read his reviews!
Anyway, add a couple drops of orange oil, a tablespoon of flax meal, use 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a splash of heavy cream(for keto dieters) and two packets of stevita brand stevia, some ice, and you have the perfect low carb omega rich keto shake. I left two stars off because you have to doctor the mix up to make it taste like anything.

Jay Robb, if you are listening...get the soapy taste out of the chocolate and it will be great. Make the dreamsicle have an actual flavor and it will be great. Listen to the voices.

I'm not big on protein powder, but needed some for a diet, and this one was the best I tried. The flavor is like an orange dreamsicle flavor. It wasn't an overpowering flavor, but made for a tasty drink.

First off, this protein tastes pretty good. One of the best tasting "natural" whey proteins I've ever consumed -- and I've had A LOT of them. I love that this has stevia, rather than Sucralose or Aspartame. I've been using Isopure, unflavored whey protein, and it tastes vile. I refuse to use artificial sweeteners anymore, so this stuff is a good substitute.

This protein is very expensive, but it's apparently from grass fed cows, which give off milk that's SO much healthier than a normal cow. You can tell the quality of the protein when you're consuming it.

My only beef with this, is the mixability. It doesn't mix for crap. You can stir your spoon until your wrist falls off, and it's going to be clump city. When you don't want to use a blender, that's a bit inconvenient. I DO have a shaker cup, and I use it from time to time, but the majority of time I use whey protein, it's with a spoon and a cup. I can't do that with this stuff. I'm forced to use a shaker or a blender. I reduced 1 star for that.

3 1/2 stars overall. Why amazon doesn't have a half star option is beyond me.

First off let me start by saying that I am new to protein shake mixes and have tried a few in the past few months, but I have to say this one is the best one by far. I first mixed it with half water and half orange juice. The consistency and taste of it was a little too watery for me, but still not bad. Next I used half orange juice and half fat free milk and it tasted just like a creamsicle. I used a bottle blender to mix it and it blended really well. I would definitely buy this protein mix again from Jay Robb, I would also love to try it in chocolate and strawberry. I don't have any complaints about it except for the price of it and it being hard to find in stores so it's awesome that it is available on Amazon. If you normally hate the way protein shakes taste, give this one a shot it might surprise you.
