5.0 out of 5 stars And on that note, we cue the music.
This is an amazing soundtrack with almost all the cues from the flick. It can be silly with Jay's paranoia about a possible Planet of the Apes to inspirational when Jay has a pow wow with his guardian angel. Venable should leave the Power Puff Girls and do movies!

3.0 out of 5 stars "going no-where slacker score...doesn't cut it"
This is the only score by James L. Venable, if there is another it hasn't surfaced to my knowledge...the score is slightly better than the film, but not by much.

Writer/director Kevin Smith once again comes up with a messy script, nothing about the story-line comes together...retarded and simply in bad taste...the score has twenty-eight cues going no-where, much like...

This Cd was extremely hilarious and very fun-loving. Kevin Smith is great and the CD is really cool. It's just a bunch of hip songs put together and great to listen to while driving ncie and fast. GREAT CD. Even my mom likes it!

This CD is mostly for those types who are WAAAAAY too into Kevin Smith's films (and, among Kevin's fans, is there any other type?) If you're looking for the songs that were used in the movie, this isn't quite the disc you're looking for. However, there is some fun stuff on this disc. Some of the techno tracks (from the faux-Charlie's-Angels-girls in the movie) will have you rockin', but mostly it is a showcase of the work that James Venable has done on the movie. Venable has done some work before with Kevin Smith, as well as the theme from some show about some power poof girls or something. Its an interesting sound, and has a few numbers that rank high on the giggle-factor. However, this CD is mostly for those few and far-between who were admiring the musical goings-on during Jay and Silent Bob's onscreen capers. This will not include most of those who may be looking over this CD. But, for a few, it might be worth having a look, and if the price is right for you, give it a chance. Its not John Williams or Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, but it has merit of its own.

I'm being kind, when giving this three stars, more like two and a half...wish this composer would choose better projects to write for, but with a little luck, his next gig maybe "The Mummy Returns Once Again"!
