I have a1965 Gibson 335 and am nervous about it getting stolen or damaged. I want a less expensive 335 style guitar for playing in clubs, bars and out door events. I looked at many, the big name guitars to ones I never heard of. Epiphone was a big let down, for $300.00 to $500.00 range they were made poorly and the wiring and pickups needed replaced before I even would plugs it in. Most all where very much a let down. I did not expect a $3,000.00 dollar guitar like my Gibson for $300.00. I did hope to get a good guitar I could play. My local shop was a place I just walked in for some strings and this lovely big red guitar was hanging in the back. I know the people there so I trust them. Josh said it was in stock for a few months and he loves it but knows little about Jay Turser guitars. I played it and it was just what I was looking for a great simi hollow body guitar. This has been my main guitar from the day I bought it. I have several expensive guitars this is as fine as any of them. Better then ones in that price range and some that cost a lot more. I don't go by price now days.

Unfortunately I did not buy this jt-133 guitar from Amazon, I could have saved a little money if I had. I got it used in a pawn shop with a hard shell case and a few other extras for $300 out the door. Mine has the clear red that allows you to faintly see the wood grain through the finish. It's beautiful. The red color is what got ny attention in the pawn shop. The jt-133 has the absolute lowest, fastest action of any of my 10 guitars, I have a much more pricy Squire built in this LP configuration but it doesn't play any better at all. Great for lead in country, blues or jazz. The jt-133 is all an around impressively built guitar. The fit and finish are perfect in every way. The humbuckers are superb as well. This was my very first out of four Jay Turser's. All four are equally impressive. I stumbled upon this brand in the pawn shop and have continued to be a fan ever since. I did buy a Les Paul tigereye copy from Amazon with the serpent inlay on the neck and am always getting compliments on the sound as well as the craftsmanship. You can't go wrong with this brand.

Great sound, flawless finish and arrived with good setup. Any semi-hollow body will feed back if played too loud, just think of it as extra long sustain.
