It's v1.0, will wait for v2.0, March 17, 2008
This review is from: JayBird JB100-01 Bluetooth Stereo Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased this directly from Jaybird based on all the decent reviews on the Web. I couldn't wait to get rid of the cords on my iPod Touch. It's a great idea, but the execution is certainly still beta. I received the headset and immediately set it up to charge and I couldn't wait to try it out. Once charged, I had no problems getting them on my ears. (I use a Plantronics Voyager at work and on my cell for calls, so I'm accustomed to having a headset over the top and behind my ear.) They did hug my ears well, but regardless of the angle on the rubberized speaker cover, I could not get it to pipe the music into my ear canal(tried both covers). This also led to ambient noise being noticeable, even with the volume at max. I ran with them, used them while walking and working out at the gym; only getting about 30 minutes of use before it would start to hurt the inside of my ear. Watched the video about fitting them on the Jaybird website, read all their guides in case I was missing something, to no avail. I ended up returning them. Too bad as I had high hopes to finally cut the cord, maybe v2.0.
Pros:
No cords
Excellent build quality
They stay on your ears, regardless of your activity
Bluetooth connection is a cinch
Nice package
Cons:
Uncomfortable in the ear (not the part that goes over the ear)
Low volume, even at max
Bass almost non existent
Cord connecting earpieces too short
Non-standard charging dock (should be mini USB)
Expensive ($129 for headset, another $50 for the BT adapter)

Great Headset Great Service, March 14, 2008
This review is from: JayBird JB100-01 Bluetooth Stereo Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I received the headset from Jaybird. After just a few times to adjust the fit, I forgot I had them on. Except for great sound and NO CORDS. Thank goodness for getting away from the biggest corded marketing scheme of the century - apples bluetoothless ipods and phones. My charging troubles turned out to be my own fault and perhaps compatibility with my treo 650. Subsequently I bought a Voyager phone and was very pleased with having the phone and mp3 player work flawlessly and cordlessly. Jaybird offered to take back the headset and update it with a new model. I can't recommend this headset enough. I am waiting for the JB200 which should be even better.

Lightweight, but poor quality calls and acoustics, April 23, 2008
This review is from: JayBird JB100-01 Bluetooth Stereo Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Was really excited about this product out of the box...nice packaging, lightweight, small and flexible. However, it did not deliver in performance...it was easy to pair with my phone, but the sound quality was not great (like other reviewers I like more bass), fit was akward and my friends did not appreciate me calling with it on. I'll be sending it back. Below are more details on my experience...
Pros:
Lightweight
Small
Comfortable
Stable when sitting
Cons:
Poor call quality
Poor fit in ear
Lacked bass
Not stable when moving around- cord gets caught on neck and pulls module off ear
Controls are hard to use and no FF/RW keys
Looks cheap
