Editorial Reviews

Repressing. During the 1950s, Jaye P. Morgan emerged as a popular vocalist. During this period, she also performed as a vocalist on various television shows. After a low profile, she re-emerged in the 1970s, primarily concentrating on her acting career rather than her music career. However, she re-entered the recording studio in 1976 recording a Soul album that would remain on the shelf for a number of years before seeing a commercial release. The album was produced by Bill Champlin at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles and featured the talents of keyboardist David Foster and The Tower of Power horn section. 5.0 out of 5 stars Misnomer but great, March 16, 2007

(REAL NAME)
This album really wasn't her debut/first album as the product description states. She'd had several sides already released and compiled under the same title (issued on the Tops/Mayfair label). But, this *was* her first album recorded for album release. And, what a great album it is... gutsy vocals with a jazz/pop accompaniment (Hugo Winterhalter). Probably one of her best.
