This is a great import title that brings us very interesting and high-quality Bossa-Jazz classics in this 2005.
The Highlights?? The "new" artists featured here:
- Paula Santoro ( A new luminary in the vast world of Brazilian Divas ).
- Xavier Osmir ( What a vocalist; also a new and very interesting singer from the new Brasil; someone like Valdo Silva ).
- Simao Morto.
- Gustavo Marques
and...
- Instrumental group "Grupo Cabana".
If you're into Bossa Nova, Brazilian Jazz and anything & everything Brazil; this one's for you.

Someone shared this album with me, but since I'm always wanting the best audio quality, I will buy the CD. But even at 192 KBPS MP3, this album sounds great!

Musically, the arrangements are very good, albeit a little too uniform across the entire album, so that some people will think the album is a bit (just a bit) monotonous in that respect. On the other side, the true spirit of the Bossa Nova was respectfully maintained, which is not the case with a lot of the latter releases, which destroy the delicate original Bossa Nova sound by employing a too-electronic approach. For me, the approach of this album is the correct one, and preserves the delicacy of the true original concept, in a fresh and intemporal sound that always pleases. Song selection is very good too.
