Scofield video,
By Rick Hulett (Hood River, OR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jazz Funk 1 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video loks a bit dated, however, Sco's playing seems as fresh as today. It's mainly Scofiled sitting with the moderator and answering questions. The string skipping excercise was the highlight for me. Another highlight is his take on solo versions of several standards. There's not a huge amount of info here, but if you've ever wondered what makes Scofield's signature sound, this video will go a long way toward answering those questions. Like all videos, books, lessons, etc., it's only as good as your committment to absorb it. Nothing comes easy. There is a good amount of Scofield playing with a quartet.
