"JAZZ GITAN: 1939-1943" (EPM Jazz, 1999) ------------------------------------------------ This is a stellar collection of lesser-known vintage French gypsy jazz, music made from the same template set by Django Rinehardt and Stephane Grappelli's Hot Club of France. This compilation has one lone track from Rinehardt, but mainly focusses on Jean and Serane Ferrat and their extended family, who worked with Django from time to time, as well as other artists of the time.
