A classic jazz Christmas album,
This review is from: A Jazz Guitar Christmas (Audio CD)
This is one of the premier jazz Christmas albums ever and the best jazz guitar Christmas album I have ever heard. The warmth of the "Peanuts" Christmas albums by Vince Guaraldi come to mind when I listen to this CD except this is with guitar instead of piano and Campbell is a more advanced jazz soloist than Guaraldi which he proves on "We Three Kings" where he stretches out in a Coltrane-like interpetation the Christmas classic. The one Campbell original "Live Every Day Like Christmas" is the only vocal on the CD sung beautifully by Everette Greene. The song has potenial to become a Christmas standard."A Jazz Guitar Christmas" is a classic Christmas CD.

What a fantastic Christmas album. Light jazz feel without being "over the top". Very cool guitar. Real nice to relax too with a glass of scotch in my favorite chair by the fire. Fresh takes on familiar classics. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Can't Get any Better!,

This one is a keeper. With Royce, Howard Curtis and Baldwin combinging their music talents, this Christmas compilation does not belong in the $3.99 bin at Wal Mart. This is a pure gem.
Royce's idea here was to create a jazz guitar compilation that impressed him, and that's important. What musician can create something that doesn't impress himself? What would it end up as? My favorite is Let it Snow, Let it Snow. The rhythm invites you to pay attention to this selection and stands out amongst the eleven selections. I don't think you would be dissatisfied...there are a lot worse Christmas CDs on the market. A lot! This one doesn't even come close to the cheap bins at Wal Mart.

I have lots of Christmas jazz, and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. A top-notch guitar trio playing Christmas music...what more could one want? The playing and recording are both very good.

Christmas jazz doesn't get any better than this. A true Christmas classic.
It's not surprising this CD is so popular.

I like this one. It's jazz and it's Christmas. A little different from Manheim Steamroller or Harry Belafonte. You will like it if you like jazz guitar and jazz bass.
