I got this album on vinyl when I was in junior high and haven't heard it since. What a joy to listen through it again. It doesn't set the world on fire with groundbreaking innovations, but it is solid jazz played by seasoned artists-- one long night in a studio put down on tape, with all its rough edges and spontaneous energy.
