great with coffee!
I usually don't get into compilation cd's, preferring to have the entire album by the artist, but this cd is great! It's perfect for gradually getting into the day. I've really been impressed by the whole Jazz Moods series. Great recordings, great arrangments.

yeah, no
i have to disagree with the previous reviewer who thought this was a great compilation, and have to be honest saying i'm not a big fan of concord jazz recordings. i thought this comp would change my mind, but didn't. artists include: jack mcduff, poncho sanchez, mongo santamaria, jeff linsky, and gary burton to name a few. burton's Poinciana is the strongest track in...

i have to disagree with the previous reviewer who thought this was a great compilation, and have to be honest saying i'm not a big fan of concord jazz recordings. i thought this comp would change my mind, but didn't. artists include: jack mcduff, poncho sanchez, mongo santamaria, jeff linsky, and gary burton to name a few. burton's Poinciana is the strongest track in my opinion. the rest of the performers i would consider "middle-of-the-road" performers. blue note and 32 jazz recordings have stronger compilations that will get ya goin' in the morning. and the cover, it looks like the model is posing in a furniture sales room. and who puts on their shoes while holding a cup off coffee!
